City got confused and decided it'd be smart to create a business and frame it as a community project. Came by to do work on my thesis and was told I could only use a quiet room if I paid to rent it for the day for $500.00 Supervisor was very rude and told me to sit outside in the rain if I needed a quiet space to work. Not to mention there's construction workers having meetings in the middle of the lobby for half the day.

We had our wedding celebration at Agoura Hills Event Center. It's a beautiful, spacious space for our friends and family. There were plenty of bathrooms and parking spots. We were very thankful the AV equipment in the reception area worked flawlessly. We got so many compliments. Tips for those looking at this space should know: This venue requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and some vendors will charge you a fee to acquire one. The COI cost us more than $500 so ask your vendors about a COI fee so you are not caught off guard. Scheduling time to see the space or confirming just our rehearsal time was very stressful. You can only book a month out. I also really, really annoyed with the staff on the day-of. We were told when we booked we could use an area upstairs for a tea ceremony, but found out the area was not included in our contract so we had to readjust. They told my photographers about a spot on the hill where we could take some photos, but when we went to the area there's a lock gate and security came. Information was all inconsistent between every staff member we interacted with. Everyone was really kind, but the information was just consistently inconsistent. Get yourself a wedding planner to handle this venue - dealing with the inconsistency on the most expensive day of your life will just give you high blood pressure.

I’ve tried contacting Agoura Hills Recreation and Event center over equipment that was stolen from me at a wedding. They were unwilling and reluctant to answer any phone calls or release any of the security footage. Tatiana in particular was left 3 voice mails over the course of 6 days and never returned any of my phone calls. Even though they had security at the venue - hundreds of dollars of equipment was stolen and they refused to even let me see the video of the people stealing from me. Don’t use this venue! It’s a public building that doesn’t have any dedicated staff to make your event good….

All the servers were very impolite, not service-oriented people despite the name, and just plain dumpster (the kind of people you put in one really if you are Wednesday) quality. Rent the venue (it's actually nice) but most certainly not the servers. And that's not all I have to say but this time I'll stop

We attended a wedding at the event center and it is a beautiful, very large space that worked great for the nearly 200 person wedding. They had indoor and outdoor space to easily accommodate different backgrounds for different portions of the event. I took off a star because there were ants EVERYWHERE! I don’t understand how an event center can be covered in ants. We were constantly having to flick them off of us or our clothing or phones or table! If you’re planning an event here I recommend asking them to spray for ants or your guests are going to be itchy all night!

Great place to work as a wedding vendor. Beautiful location and the venue is beautiful. The only problems I had as any other vendor whom has worked here is the Certificate Of Insurance.I understand about having the COI to protectthe venue of any lawsuits. But the requested COI was very tedious. Not only they want your information and your insurance information but they want to know what you're bringing. Speakers, Microphone a snow cone or a towel yeah it was bad. I got to the point as if they did not want me and the other vendors to work there. All went well and the wedding was beautiful with no issues from the venue.

Gorgeous venue. Fantastic team. Working with the staff at Agoura Hills Recreation center was wonderful.We held an event at the venue in June, and I'm still hearing from guests what a wonderful time they had. First of all, the views are stunning. Guests were able to enjoy the views whilst spending time on the back patio and also from inside the event. Agoura Hills Rec and Event Center has incredible windows span one entire wall. As the sun set, the room was filled with the golden light of the evening. There is also the option to have an indoor/outdoor feel to the event (which we had) as some of the panels slide open.The center itself is kept in great condition, offering an upscale feel to the event. The space itself offers so many different design layouts, which is lovely.We brought in caterers and bartenders and they commented on the ease of loading in and out. Finally, the team. Wow. Through the entire process, they were responsive, offered clear cut and easy to follow instructions, and were truly a joy to work with. I absolutely recommend this event center. Thank you making our event so magical.

My fiancé and I were set to get married here June 2020 but due to the pandemic we had to postpone for June 2021. When we first postponed, the Event Center was very accommodating and understanding of the circumstances. Ultimately, at the start of 2021 we decided against a large ceremony, and chose to cancel our agreement with this venue. Their team again made this process as easy and painless as we could have hoped, and we are grateful for their ability to accommodate given a difficult set of circumstances.Would definitely recommend for any couples looking for a fantastic wedding venue with a very friendly staff and amazing views.
