1310 Nanaimo St, Vancouver“Quite likely the best butcher in the lower mainland. Where high quality and low prices meet under one roof. Not to mention a huge selection. Excellent customer service as well. This place is tops ?”
“Came here right before they closed and got the most amazing service/help from the lady working there. She gave me dinner ideas and explained the different selections of sausages, pies, etc.Place has tonnes of options, lots of homemade foods and meats, and it's soooooo affordable for the quality.Only $20 flat for these homemade potatoes, mushroom pot pie, bacon and bratwurst sausages”
“Friendly, nice staff and good selection. I have to travel out of my way to get there but it was worth it and will go again. They had a product I'd not seen for about 20yrs. Black pudding. It tasted how I remembered. They had Cajun sausage and blackforrest ham of which I made jambalaya. I saw too they had Cornish hens. The souvlaki was very good.
Person with me got lamb burger, some sausages, and rosemary chicken. They loved it all though didn't find the spicy elk as spicy as they thought.
They do the legion meat draws. Always excellent stuff. One acquaintance won a bundle of several meat pies and gave me a turkey one. It was really good. Though there large meat pies are nice I liked the small pie variety pack.
There store is very nice but small. It gets busy and gets a bit hard to move around in. Nice to see it was busy though.”
“One if not the best kosher food products store in Vancouver.Unique products- checkReasonable prices- checkAmazing personal service- checkWill surely come and purchase again in this so uniquely beautiful nice fun store”
“After discovering Armando’s I can no longer tolerate going to the grocery store for meat. Excellent quality. Great customer service. Mr. Armando runs a great business. 10 stars out of 5.”
“Great little local shop with an assortment of meats, food, snacks, drinks, and candies from the UK.
Staff are friendly. I’ve asked numerous times for their help about how much of whatever item from the meat section would be enough for X number of people, they’re always spot-on with their estimate.
I was first introduced to The British Butcher by a friend many years ago, she raved about their sausages, which I agree, are significantly less oily and better than most sausages. They offer a variety of flavors and meats, you name it, they probably have it. Sundried Tomato is especially good, in my opinion.
Maui Ribs from here are tasty, and not quite as pricy as big-box grocers, so why not support this small business instead?
I wasn’t a big fan of the Back Bacon, but that’s nothing against the store. I rarely eat Back Bacon, I got it for a brunch I’d hosted, and friends thoroughly enjoyed it.
Their meat pies are good, loaded with filling, and a light flaky crust. They’re reasonably priced for the portion (e.g. two of us, who have smaller appetites, share one individual size). It’s helpful to keep one in the freezer for the days you don’t feel like cooking, but want a better alternative to takeout. These are way better and healthier than generic frozen meat pies.
Thanks for the years of great food, British Butcher - keep up the great work!”

“This is my go-to for quality cuts. Well priced, centrally located, and very high quality grass fed meat. The shop is tucked away behind Robson Market and it's a gem.”

“Best butcher in the city! The best selection of quality steaks. Personal favourite is their cowboy rib steak, and no butcher comes close to their marinated lamb, or their Maui ribs. Friendly staff. Service with a smile. I always look forward to listening to their recommendations. And they carry Rawbone Pet Food Co products!! My dogs favourite treats.”

This is a local business with integrity and great service. They also support local farmers and carry quality meats. Highly recommended for people looking for holistic meat.”
“very nice selection of meats and burgers of course, but what especially impressed me is that they seem to be very dog friendly (on the patio). Vancouver doesn't have many dog friendly eateries, unfortunately, even the patios require you to tie the dogs up outside the seating area. I had initially left my dog in the car to go grab a burger, but then noticed two dogs sitting on the patio, so I brought him out. It was so nice to have my dog sit with me while I ate outside. not only that, a very nice person from the staff found me outside and asked if my dog would like a raw bone. I really appreciate that and I'll definitely be back.”

It's very nice knowing where your meat is coming from and the care that is given to the animals and the land :) Hoping they get their beef Leberwurst back soon cause it's the best.”

2233 W 41st Ave, Vancouver“Lots of excellent meat choices. Very helpful staff. Competitive pricing. Local product. I will be shopping there many more times. We just got our Christmas order and we screwed up. We phoned and talked to some very helpful staff and then returned to the store. The problem was explained to the owner and he personally looked after resolving the issue. Top draw customer service, that's why we shop there.”
“Anytime we are celebrating a special event or just treating ourselves to a restaurant quality meal we ALWAYS get our meats from Market Meats. It is not cheap, but that's not their intent. They sell THE BEST QUALITY products and back it with great service. I just cooked 2 beef tenderloins that would be $75 - $95 per plate at a steak house and it cost me $67 total. Add $3 for 2 baked potatoes and some broccoli and a salad and we are very happy here!”
“Wide variety and excellent quality meats, love also daily specials. Staff is friendly and love stopping by this place to see what they have in store. Highly recommended! PS this is the best place to get some fresh beef bones for soup or for your puppy which they can cut in verity of sizes.”
