I think it’s a kind and comfortable place, however today something a bit gross happened, which makes me question the cleaning process. I tried on a jacket and there was a used tissue in the pocket, I’m not sure how that is missed but it was definitely gross. Obviously I didn’t make a big deal out of it but I wanted to let the cashier know so it could be removed. She was rude and dismissive, which made me feel uncomfortable and I will not be wanting to go back there again.

In the past, WIN has always been five stars for me, and I would still rate it five stars for its organization and aesthetic. However, since the big thrift store shift during COVID, in which stores with one or two changing rooms became stores with no changing rooms at all, I have to say that my interest in browsing here has really been depleted. It's a huge annoyance to buy clothes without being able to properly try them on, when the return policy requires that I buy yet more clothes without trying them on, so that the trips back and forth become a bit like Groundhog Day. At this point, I would rather spend my thrift-store browsing time in a one-off like the Green Door in Sidney, where I can find hidden treasures galore and also duck behind a curtain when I need to strip down to try something. I wish WIN would get sensible and realize that maintaining a single changing room isn't really as arduous as they think it is -- or else allow a full refund for pants tried on over pants. ?

I've shopped here for many years. I cannot afford to buy things in shopping malls. I enjoy helping out other women so I'm glad the profits go towards programs for women.Having said that, I find the whole 'regular item' priced clothing and the 'boutique item' priced clothing infuriating. This is especially in regards to their Plus size clothing.Retail Plus size clothing is usually more expensive, most regular stores have a very limited selection and its quite often ugly. There are Plus sized 'specialty' clothing stores that are always more expensive than the 'normal/average' sized places. It's very difficult to find something I like and can actually afford. It's discriminatory and demoralizing. Its like being punished and excluded because of my size. I'm not even that big.Maybe it's better at the other WIN locations, but at the Cook street location the Plus size clothing is in a separate miniscule section. TINY. Then to add insult to injury at least half of those items are deemed to be 'boutique' so more expensive. It really sucks, especially in a store trying to lift women up?! It's hard enough being designated 'Plus' size because it definitely does not feel like a plus or advantage. It is a huge DIS-advantage!The selection is already ridiculously limited. Do they really have to make it even more difficult to find anything to buy by making them more expensive as well?! Answer: No. Just leave the Plus sizes at the regular price for the love of God!!!Please don't tell me it's for the sake of being fair to all the 'regular' size customers. There's nothing fair about this situation. Nothing.

I shop a lot and I am very conscious about buying new and 2nd hand items. Some prices at this thrift store are decent but when it comes to shoes, clothing & accessories they're overpriced which doesn't make sense as most of those items go through wear and tear so better buy brand new instead of 2nd hand.
