I feel scammed. I have never left a negative review before but I am so devastated right now. As someone who just moved to Victoria, I was so excited to buy new bedding for my new place. I saved up to get bedding that was ethical and sustainable and could keep me cool at night. To support local, I went here and was recommended these Turkish cotton percale sheets. I loved the feel at the store the way they were packaged and colour and followed directions on washing the sheets to use them. Now using them, these sheets feel so scratchy, so thin, which are tell tale signs for low quality percale sheets. For the price, I am honestly appalled and in shock right now. The sheets are so cheap that they are see through and I know how percale threading works and the specific weaving technique, but these are just simply made of such low quality material I doubt it is even cotton. My skin was absolutely irritated, so I searched more on the brand to find that the website of the sheets seems to be that of a scam. It is not some ethical and sustainable brand at all. I want to support local, and I trusted that at local business whose entire brand is sustainability would sell products that align with that mission. At this point, I am devastated by my experience at this store and hope they can be more ethical with the brands they sell and recommend. This was extremely disheartening.

I can only attest to an online shopping experience with The Good Planet Company, but I'm pleased with how ++ fast shipping was - my order arrived to the Mainland within a day. They were the only shop I could find all the Hello Kitty Baggu bags I wanted haha! Will definitely visit in store whenever I'm in Victoria

This is a funny story!
I accidentally sent an item to this store from Gatineau, Quebec that I needed to return (I entered the wrong postal code). They were absolutely AMAZING in helping me with my mistake. They shipped back my item with a gift, a bar soap that smell so good!
Although I didn't actually buy anything here, their customer service is EXTRAORDINARY.
Thank you so much to the employee who helped me out, I sincerely appreciate it!
100% recommend these guys because of their kindness, great customer service, excellent communication and the lovely soap they sent me!

prices in here are way better than some of the other small local stores. Their milkjar candles are $12 cheaper than the other locations that carry them here, $38 is still hard to justify for a candle but i’ll take what I can get because they’re the best candles ever and burn for ages so it’s still worth it to me, plus you get a cute cup after too ! Always tons of unique product and always love supporting local creators and businesses. This will be my go to milkjar candle stop from now on so please keep selling them (just not for $50 pls)

So disappointed. I purchased a buckwheat pillow that was highly recommended by my massage therapist and the sale associate but unfortunately it did not work for me (only tried for about 2 hours and had to give up and switch back to my old pillow). They do not offer any return or store credit on bedding which means I am left with a very expensive brick. I should have bought the Costco one as their return policy is much better, but wanted to support a local business. I did purchase some other items that were fine, but I do not recommend them for bedding unless you are 100% sure it's what you need.

A little disappointed. I bought a few towels, two pillows, and sunglasses from this store. It turned out the sunglasses were giving me a headache because they were too tight but they didn't want to take them back even for in store credit. Don't really understand that from a company that wants to reduce waste.

I like that staff is friendly, greets you when you walk in, offers help & then let’s you browse on your own. They’ve also been great at answering email questions. I’ve bought stuff like kitchen scrub brushes with replaceable brush & various school/work lunch containers. Now I’m trying to decide on which of these gorgeous baskets to get for prettier storage containers in my tiny condo

I have been looking for a good quality bamboo duvet cover and shams for awhile. During these tough times I have been trying to support my local businesses, unfortunately I was at a loss. A friend told me about Good Planet and off we went. Because of Covid the store had their max of customers already, Phoebe met us at the door and let us know it would be a few minutes wait. She was very pleasant, more importantly I told her what I was shopping for and the colour. She went in the store and brought out exactly what I needed. It was so easy, all I had to do was go in and pay for them. It's the kind of service that makes people feel welcomed and important, it's where I will go back to again and again.

We were disappointed today to find out about a no return policy after being sure to ask for a receipt "just in case anything went wrong." We understand that especially Covid makes returns difficult, but we wish the no returns policy was made clear by the staff at purchase, especially since we were waffling between the two weights. Now we're stuck with a new duvet too warm for our apartment.

I love the products offered in here but I can't rate higher because the shopping environment is extremely challenging. They always have a diffuser running with very strongly scented oils, so anyone with sensitivity to fragrance will not be able to shop there. I have mentioned this a few times to staff, but they were not concerned and nothing has changed, so unfortunately I can't shop there. A great little shop but totally unsuitable for anyone with asthma, migraines, or scent-triggered allergies or conditions.
