I've shopped in this store many times over the last 20 or so years. Always an interesting and eclectic selection of products - many times there is nowhere else in the city or area. Today I was looking for a compact travel-ready beard brush in genuine boar's hair. Sure enough they had one that I was happy to buy, in addition to an assortment of beard grooming accessories. I have to give them 5 stars for that.

I would also give zero stars if I could. Terrible customer service, both over the phone and in person. I really needed a pen engraved and for whatever reason, this seems like the only place in or near downtown Victoria that has general engraving services. He’s basically the only game in town, knows it and acted like it when I balked first at the price (39$ for five characters), then later at the fact that I wouldn’t get a receipt while my pen was sent away (that’s right, he doesn’t even do the engraving himself). “It’s either that or you can go elsewhere...”, both of us knowing that “elsewhere” didn’t exist.This shop might have good merchandise, but I couldn’t tell through the thick cloud of arrogance and general unpleasantness exuded by the clerk/owner (?).
