This place is just the best! Not only do they have an incredible selection of new and used books, but they are SO well priced. The staff are very knowledgeable. My son was struggling to find a novel and after asking several questions, they worked with him to find a good fit. So thankful for such a great bookstore in our community.

Very disappointed with my last order experience. Russell book advertised that the store is based in Canada. Now my order is being shipped from the US after over a week? I wish I had bought the book from Amazon instead.

Incredible bookshop! When I recently visited Vancouver Island, I was not expecting to find such a phenomenal bookshop. It's a LARGE shop with LOTS of titles, floor to ceiling. And the store is unique since they stock both used and new versions of many titles. This means that you can sometimes pay less for the used version, or get a vintage copy of a particular book, with a design you might prefer to the contemporary version. It's great to have this choice, and I can't think of many other stores that offer both used and new versions of their books. Russell Books is kind of like a smaller version of The Strand in NYC - dense, thoughtfully curated, and fun to roam around in. Highly recommended!

An incredible bookstore! Reminds me of bookstores in London, England. An incredible selection of hard to find books. Amazing condition secondhand books and were able to pull 4 copies of an out of print for my Mom’s book club which I picked up the next day. If you plan to visit, leave yourself at least a couple of hours to browse the floor to ceiling hand crafted bookshelves. An escalator to the bottom floor adds grandeur to this already grand store.
