Family Member need a new Rain Jacket. The employee did a wonderful job spending well over 1/2 hour to ensure she had right jacket for fit, size and colour. Must have try on 8-10 Patagonia Rain . Thank-you Robinson’s Store for your help.

Just had the best possible experience at Robinson’s this week! I needed expertise and advice from an expert and absolutely received that at Robinson’s. The staff were so knowledgeable and were able to help guide me to the right products. They were not only patient, but actually encouraged me to try on several different options to make sure what I was getting was the right fit and feel for my needs, all the while expertly explaining the products I was experiencing etc. I will 100% be back for more gear as my outdoor adventures continue. Thanks for the amazing experience!

Prior to my second trek in Nepal I wanted a top of the line trekking pants. My main concern was breathability. Staff sold me a $308 pair of pants that was not breathable and unsuitable. On my return the store manager gave me the run around. The head office informed me that the store manager has the authority to accept returns.First the staff misrepresent their product, than the manager does not accept a return. Very disappointing.I have great experiences with Robinson Outdoor store. Great staff and selection. I regret having stepped into Fjall Raven!

Cameron was extremely helpful with bouldering shoes — really really appreciate the in-depth nerdy knowledge of all the shoes and how/what/why you’d want which for when.Very few stores stock aggressive bouldering shoes in town, but they had all the full and 1/2 sizes in a bunch of options.

I would have rated it zero if that was an option. We were looking for Ultralight Arctic sleeping bags, we found Rab Neutrino 800s that we liked and wanted to purchase. Only this store on Vancouver Island claimed that they had it in stock, they said they would hold the items aside for us because we were driving in the next day (we were 2 hours away). We told them that we didn't want to make the drive, which would be 4 hours of gas (there and back) if they didn't have the items in the store. They said no problem, we have them, I'm looking at them right now. They said that they'd put it aside for us so we can arrive the next day. We drove the 2 hours there, thinking our sleeping bags would be available. They were not. We got there, we found out they didn't have the product and we just drove 2 hours out of our way and now we have to drive 2 hours back. With gas prices that's almost $100 of wasted gas. Not just that, but the attitude of the employees were "Oh, well... Sorry about that... see you later..." In a very casual manner. They didn't care that we called and that they assured us that the items would be set aside, they just casually said sorry, see you later. They even tried to give us a display sleeping bag without a discount. The sleeping bags were $800 a piece and they just wanted to give us the display like we weren't about to drop $2000. We won't be going back to this store, we don't recommend it, and their devil may care attitude was more than just annoying. There's better customer service with the same products at MEC or Fjallraven in Victoria. Even Sports Chek and their outdoor gear has better service.

Great selection of women outdoor clothing, a lot of merino and size. They have a great discount section on a loft on a semi 3rd floor.
