When you come to Victoria, you must make a pilgrimage to this bookstore attraction. It is known as the most beautiful bookstore in North America and is a large independent bookstore in a century-old building.

Whether I’m checking something off my to-be-read list or just popping in on a rainy day, I always try to stop by Munro’s. Not only does this bookstore have a great atmosphere, but I love the selection and variety of genres offered. I especially love the “blind date with a book” section, and the effort from the amazing staff to put those together. You can also find small gifts and paper goods here!

Beautiful store with a beautiful location. There was a large and interesting selection of books about Victoria/British Columbia history, in which I was particularly interested. But what is particularly memorable is how they have supported Andrea Munro Skinner after the disturbing revelations of her stepfather's abuse and her mother (Alice Munro's) complicity. They continue to sell Munro's books, but are donating all proceeds to organizations that support abuse victims. It's a balanced approach and a refreshing alternative to "cancel culture."

I can't come to Victoria BC without spending at least an hour browsing and buying the latest items and enjoying the vibe in this wonderful place.

Hmmm ? I wonder what Munro’s books has. I walked in to the store and guess what I found? Appliances, fruit, cars? No but I did find books. ? this place is really cool. The building is very nice and the selection of books is great. The store ambiance is cool. My wife and I found a nice cardboard book for our granddaughter.
