Small "organic is better" grocery store with extremely limited and expensive selection. If you're willing to pay $7.50 for a single cucumber, this place is for you. If not, run directly across the street to the Root Cellar where you'll find a far greater overall selection and the exact same produce will be half the price.

I had never been to this store before. I love their hours. It is difficult to find anything open after 8pm. This store is open till 9pm. I was looking for a particular soya sauce and I found multiple ones. And the best was the customer service I received by the cashier

Great selection of organic produce & friendly staff.Mother Nature's market stocks great local produce — this is one of the best places in town to support local and organic farmers. You won't see a similar selection of certified organic produce at other markets in town.This business is run by a German family and staffed by a mix of students, teachers, musicians, and local householders. The staff is well meaning and friendly, and does not deserve the flack that they sometimes get — nor do any other essential service workers deserve to be mistreated or misrepresented.I am thankful that Mother Nature's Market is a part of my community.

When I say we live in a world where we see store employees,/ over the phone customer service, not giving any “real “ service , I think many might relate . Much easier to cleverly avoid the question and keep outta trouble with the boss.Well today it went past that level when visting this store for Ist time. I could see quickly in a very very large health food type store , with nobody on the floor ( at all), that this was a no service store.Might as well have no employees at all and just go to self checkout were my thoughts.Well in the end I did get lucky and the cashier came out to help me, only tho when I asked..Well as per my comment above of fear to answer questions, this was the worst I’ve ever seen.The cashier was so terrified to answer questions , that she would not even answer.. what’s your best seller on the vitamin I was looking for?I did not ask medical info, I did not ask which bottle is best quality , as I knew that would never be answered.I then took approach of asking simply which “sold” best , as I thought that might give me some kinda direction.. Well that did not work and would not even answer that question.Sooo in the end I figure it’s one of 2 things. Either the cashier lives in world of fear OR management has told them.. Answer no questions,… just run the purchases thro and tell customer when to tap their card .Either way in my view., The place is a joke. I will never return !

The cashier seemed quite dismissive about not asking me for my frequent flier number and attaching my receipt to my purchase. She remembered to ask the man she served after me. She seemed to not really care at all. In this time of overpriced food, every little bit helps, she was not so helpful. I was in sometime around 12 noon and 1pm on Saturday afternoon.

I am sick of this store Stealing from me. For the FOURTH time I have paid full (overpriced) price for some artisanal product only to realize after the fact that the fine print is LONG EXPIRED. I've remembered this and check in-store only to see the EVERY bag of flour on the shelf is expired. That the ice cream that didn't taste quite right was long expired. The the fancy condiment is dried up and discolored because - you guessed it- it's EXPIRED. Im guessing this is why they make you ASK for a receipt and dont hand it to you. Because if your politeness doesnt lead you to assume its a one-off and just let it go, you hopefully wont have a receipt to prove it. This is intentional, consistent poor practice and complete thievery. Check the shelves. Check the products. Hold them accountable.

I was offered a job at Mother Nature's. I soon realized the job wasn't for me and quit after working two shifts. The owner Klaus will not reply to my emails, has not paid me and has pretended to not know me over the phone as well as in person. I have filed a complaint with Work BC. DO NOT WORK HERE!!!

Friendly staff, wide selection of healthy food and vegetarian alternatives. They make their own sandwiches and burritos that you can heat up in their microwave oven and eat at a table inside.

Got followed around the store by who I assume is the owner. As an adult Black man this treatment is insulting, especially when questioned by said person following me who can't even understand my English after repeatedly questioning me on what I'm looking for.Thanks for bringing your European racism with you.

Offering a wide range of organic products, this is a great little grocery to have in the neighbourhood. Although some prices are competitive with larger supermarkets, it's mostly pretty expensive for a retiree's budget. You pay for quality, no doubt about it. However, I'm beginning to be priced out of the produce.One thing I do want to mention: the cheese counter at the deli has a wonderful.selection of fine imported cheeses, and at prices that beat the speciality cheese shops in town! If you appreciate artisanal European cheeses, you should really check this out instead of going to the other cheese shops.

while I do appreciate what this store offers, and also the situation facing all businesses right now, I feel like the prices at this store have climbed wildly regarding some items, especially in the deli. It's terrible to feel priced out at my local grocery store. I will be taking my business elsewhere whenever possible from now on.
