No employees to be found in most department... I found a few employees near the appliance corner gathered up chatting. I stranded there, waiting for them. After a few minutes, I asked if they were middle of something or if they can help. . . One of them
finally decided to help, but even the help was sad. . .he just pointed out things where I can look but no actual suggestions or assistance. . .
Not sure why I would bother coming here sgain feeling like a burden to the employees

Many thanks to Fatemeh in appliances for going above and beyond for me. She advocated for the appliances I wanted and made the entire experience exceptional from start to finish. Her friendly, easy going manner coupled with her knowledgeable product/process understanding made this purchase quick and pleasant. Hey RONA + don't ever let her go!

I have had numerous interactions with Manpreet at the service desk. In all instances she has been rude, quick to cut me off when speaking, and unfriendly. I believe she withheld information from one of my financing purchases so I that would not receive a gift card. Poor service, particularly when compared the other small and big box hardware stores in Victoria.
***Update: I sent a detailed email to the assistant manager and manager with no response from either.

A old man named Joe helped me out addressing my concerns and being very nice despite my unwelcoming attitude. He helped me out and made my day better. Most of the time I am met the employees who avoid me, but Joe, Joe is the best. Thanks Joe.

Thank you to Fatemeh S in appliances. She made purchasing a new washer and dryer so easy. We love our new LG Washer/Dryer and were so happy with the caring, personalized service she gave us. This was by far the best appliance shopping experience I have ever had.

There a few people who work there that are so helpful, so for them this review does not apply. However the majority seem to be under qualified or trained, and sadly I have had more negative than positive experiences when using customer service. Not my 1st choice at all.
*Addendum* several years later, still really dislike going there. They almost never have what I'm looking for, and trying to find help in the store continues to be a struggle. I wish Home Depot went in where Rona was. Sorry Rona, but you just don't carry the things Home Depot does, and when you do, they are significantly more in price.

Half stocked, no info as to item whereabouts on website so must wander the DIY vastness hoping to find someone that actually works there, which is difficult. Such a time sink compared to home depot.

After getting my online order cancelled, I went had a chat with a manager the only male one there supposedly. He then told me it would be shipped on the slow boat and take 2 weeks. A month later I get a call from an employee stating my part has arrived. So I go in today to pick up my part...... They can't find my order then finds it in the computer, goes to grab it, it's not there. They look on the shelf no luck come back and say we don't have the part and can't get the part.... How the hell do I get a call stating my order is ready yet no one can find it and result in me leaving the store 45 minutes later for the second trip with no part and no answer.

Despite what the website says, the Garden Centre closes at 5pm, not 9pm. No staff at the store cared about the discrepancy and inconvenience to customers.

Great service at this location on the May long weekend. The cashier followed me out when I accidentally left an item on the counter. We rented their van for $25 to bring a large piece of patio furniture home. Found it convenient.
