Store was well stocked and nicely put together, but the staff made shopping unpleasant. They were technically helpful and answered questions I had, but they made it obvious that I was wasting their time. I took both a large and a medium sweater to try on and was told to only take the ones I intend to buy.I like LL Bean, but the staff at this location made the experience pretty bad.

The manager here is a tyrant! They have their monogrammed “Victoria” bag on display with a price tag at $35 but instead of selling the bag he states “you’re trying to steal the bag! Please leave the store!” I’ve been a regular customer here and used to be treated with respect by this manager but I guess losing customers doesn’t matter. I’ll sooner shop in Maine again rather than this location! At least at the flagship store they know how to keep customers! Here they keep the store guaranteed at empty!

I was just in the mayfair shopping center storeI was followed around by an employee I wasn't even asked if I needed help with anything. I have never been in the store before and I will never go back. There are many more stores that sell the same merchandise that always has been happy to come up and help me insted of just following me around. Horrible shopping experience. I even stopped by the front door and turned around to see if he was still looking and he was right there with his eyes on me.

Well stocked clothing store inside the Mayfair shopping mall on Douglas Street. The cashier/shop associate is very helpful and points customers to what they are requesting.

"Poor customer service... Upon entering the store, I began browsing for products that caught my interest. However, my experience took an unexpected turn when I encountered a staff member who stood out … (he was wearing a fake diamond earring). Unfortunately, his approach seemed to be unsettling, possibly influenced by alcohol use, as he spoke in a loud and unfriendly manner. This encounter left me feeling unwelcome and disrupted my shopping experience. I found it difficult to concentrate on shopping and was eager to exit the store promptly."

Worst quality boots.I unfortunately thought they were good quality and thought I could trust them so I didn’t keep the receipt. Unable to return because of that.Within a few days the boots started to make a squeaky noise. Then a month later the boots were leaking through. Rubber rain boots!! Leaking? Terrible.Later on the whole front is coming off.Don’t buy from here!!! Waste of money.

Haven't been in an L.L. Bean in God knows how long. Clean store, friendly staff, nice clothes. The only complaint was that they do not stock any Talls.

Bought a pair of jeans here for 100$ a few months back. Part of the reason I bought the jeans was because the sales lady said they had a good return policy. After a few months, the garment began to fail in the thighs. I called and asked if I could bring it in as I live about an hour away. The lady said it would be no problem.Cool.Get there and argue with the manager for about ten minutes about the jeans. He told me that the fact that i used them for work meant that it was outside of the intended purpose of the garment. I said that they were jeans, people wear jeans to work in. He told me that he wouldn’t take jeans back if people had so much as gardened in them. I kept asking for a written policy or something, because I thought it was unreasonable that he wouldn’t take the jeans back. He had nothing to give me expect for a sign that said the store wouldn’t accept a garment back if it was used outside of its intended purpose. I asked what their intended purpose was. He told me they were a “fashion Jean.”I called corporate and asked their opinion of this, and what they explained to me is that it would be no problem to return the Jean had a bought it online, but in store, it’s at the discretion of the manager.What I find unbelievably annoying about this is if you check their website, LL bean often describes their jeans as “meant to be well loved” or “rugged” and “tough.” The jeans I bought also just aren’t nice enough to be some high end piece of clothing. They’re jeans- jeans that the website implies can be used like jeans.Nice to drive for more than an hour and argue about the definition of jeans with some random dude. Guess I learned why this store is empty every single time I go in.

High qualitymerchandise. We get fannel pjs for the family & ourselves every Xmas, they last for years. The Pima cotton T-shirts wash incredible well, keeping their shape & color.

Great clothing store. Plenty of options for people and dogs! Nice accessories as well. Seasonal selections and new stock often. Staff have always been friendly and respectful.

Damn fine clothing but you're gonna pay for it big time.When it comes to Bean, I'll keep buying mine second hand. Their 50% off Boxing Day sale was a tiny rack of clearance clothing, that was it. ?You can do better

I saw an older man come in for something and the cashier told him they didn't have it but that he could order it online and it would come to his home. I personally don't order online if at all possible because I have had to freeze my credit cards and obtain replacements three times.I wish stores would order items for walk in customers- especially people that may not be savvy about ordering safely. I appreciate the store that does this for me. It's like a missed opportunity to provide a service and your product. A missed opportunity for a repeat customer.I like the quality of the products !
