“Waiting for our afternoon tea at the Fairmount Empress, my husband and I stopped to browse the jewelry store. Brandon heard us talking and showed me some rings. We ended up buying a beautiful sapphire eternity band. Brandon was awesome! He thoroughly explained shipping to the states, tax implications and the great rate of exchange. He did not push us to buy anything but just seemed to enjoy talking w us and showing us the beautiful pieces. So happy we browsed the store.”

“So many beautiful pieces of jewellery to choose from for all budgets. I purchased a beautiful pair of earrings and bracelet to match before we boarded our cruise ship. I have now decided that I also must have a matching necklace too. I am going to leave husband with all our cases and walk the short distance from the port to Artina's before we head home to Scotland. I had people on cruise ship stop and ask me where I had purchased my earrings and bracelet as they were stunning and different, but not in an over the top sparkly way. I am so delighted with my purchase as a momento of our trip to Canada and Alaska.”

“I never wear jewelry but I will now!My husband gave me some $ to go buy a necklace since I wanted something to represent our 21 year anniversary + 1 year being married AND also with it being Mother's Day weekend. After doing some Google searches and not knowing anything about jewelry I ended up at people's in Mayfair mall. Feeling very overwhelmed I didn't feel like they had what I had envisioned. The guy actually pointed me across the way to Flux and Stone Jewelry. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by 2 of the sweetest young women. What truly stood out, was how they interacted with my 8 year old daughter. They treated her with such kindness and compassion and like she was one of their best girlfriends. Not only did I instantly fall in love with a necklace their exceptional customer service sets them apart and they both did it so organically and effortlessly. I'm recommending Flux and Jewelry to anyone in search of both exquisite jewelry and a welcoming atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, I feel, compare to buying brand new. And they stand behind their sold product and fixed them free of charge for me, if anything broke. This is my go to place for jewelry in town.
Running a business is expensive in Victoria and the costs are pretty steep for rents and vages.
There are quite a few people working in there. Those who complain about prices don't understand what it takes to run a small business in town.”
“My partner and I met Stephen this summer during an Art Walk. We fell in love with one of the rings on display - it was such a uniquely designed art nouveau ring with a spectacular Tzavorite garnet. We could not have been happier when we called and discovered it had not been sold! Stephen was then able to design a spectacular match for it that became my partner's wedding ring. The intricate design of the rings and their sparkle has brought us joy ever since. Given their beauty and quality, we felt these rings were exceptionally well priced, and relished the process of visiting Stephen to watch them being made!”

Kim expertly rebuilt the back half of the ring and created a perfectly seamless joint with the front half. The ring looks as good as it did when bought from Birks in 1978. Thank you, Kim.”

When I called, the owner answered and was very helpful. We communicated clearly about what I needed, and he kept me informed with pictures and updates on the cost and when it would be finished. “After getting a family heirloom vintage piece of jewelry cleaned and repaired (stone reset) here, I had questions that Rafal, the owner, took much time to patiently answer, and to explain details about the piece, its history, and the materials used, which he showed me through his microscope and making sketches to clarify. Excellent service, as he was not getting any additional business out of this.
All my previous experiences with this store have been great as well.”

“A pretty shop on Oak Bay Avenue curating a wide survey of ceramics, wood, mixed media, jewelry and works of art by British Columbia artists. While on vacation we stopped by Side Street for a hostess gift. Jill is the sixth owner of this gallery and she provided a brief history of the gallery and we discovered we grew up in the same area in Southern Ontario. Prices suited for any budget but very competitive. We forgot to ask but we hope Side Street hosts events to showcase resident artist's works. Gift wrapping available upon request. On-street parking available andRoute 2/5/8 bus routes pass by the shop.”
