631 Johnson St, Victoria“Came in with my family today, and my 7 year old son was looking for an Amazing Spiderman comic book. The worker treated my son nicely and helped him find which book he needed, and explained how the movies and comics don't line up perfectly, and how the comic books come in collections now etc, and helped him find what part of the story would be close to what he was looking to find. I really like seeing employees take children seriously instead of brushing them off. I really appreciated it as a mom and a shopper! I hope to see more of this helpful service. We will be back again :)”
“I was in town for about a week and decide on a whim to build a deck. The owner was incredibly helpful going through boxes and had a few great ideas for ways to improve the deck. I came in the second day and he had pulled out a few cards we had been looking for the day before.
If you want magic cards or a game of Commander in BC, go to Yellowjacket!”
“This is a fantastic game store with a surprisingly great selection - including some harder to find items which was a pleasant surprise! Board games, TTRPGs, card games, they seem to have it all. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely return for my gaming needs.”

622 Yates St, Victoria“This is such a great location, with such a friendly and helpful staff! My boyfriend and I mentioned to an employee that we’ve been struggling with fully understanding the rules through the texts and he said that we were welcome to book a night to play and ask for help if we need it, and also told us about a bunch of events coming up for painting, Kill Team and 40k. We’ve had quite a few interactions with him (I wish I knew his name!) and he has always been really fun and informative, and never has made us feel intimidated or pressured, which we’ve definitely experienced at some hobby shops in the past. This is a great GW whether you’re a long time player or new enthusiast, five stars!”
“Michael, jackie and Jojo were wonderful! Super lovely people and very helpful. They even showed me how to do a simple loop chain and let me try!
The beads are beautiful !! So worth it if you’re making special jewelry. I’m making a rosary as a gift and I couldn’t have picked out better beads. I’m definitely going back for all my head needs!!”
“The sales person yesterday was friendly and helpful. Always a good experience here. There needs to be one of these stores in Nanaimo or Courtney and Campbell river”
“This is a beautiful place to stop while in the Oak Bay neighbourhood. There is a wide selection of toys for every child. The toys are interesting, unique, and some are even educational. There is a life-size playmobil statue in the store which is a wonderful feature. There where affordable, adorable stuffed animals, outdoor toys, and classic toys that most adults would recognize from their childhoods'. They had a great accessory selection, which included included elegant tiaras. This store has toys for children of all ages, and the staff was friendly and helpful.”
“Michael's is one of the bigger arts and crafts shops around here. While their prices aren't exactly cheap, their discount and sale events make it worth a visit! With a membership I got rewards plus 40% off my item during one of their sales. The store is very clean and organized, with staff walking around and ready to help customers. You can also order online for pickup, delivery or walk in store to see what's available, as some items aren't shown online. This location also appears to have less available products and items, compared to the Saanch location ... So I'll only be coming back here again, whenever I am in the Langford area!”
“Super friendly staff and the lady behind the till clearly loves her job! If you ever need to find some coins please check here! I always find some awesome Canadian coins here. I was super happy with my Upper Canada penny and half penny. Thanks again <3”

1175 Douglas St Unit C, Victoria“Such a fun night! Our group was adults and kids- and we played pool and pinball! The staff were really friendly, we enjoyed the busy & fun atmosphere, and everyone had a great time.Go early, or plan that you might be on a wait list on Friday and Saturday nights. There’s an alcohol free area, and it’s an “all ages” place.
Kid-friendliness: We phoned ahead, and they said they were all ages! We went early, from about 6-7. There is ping-pong, billiards, and pinball!”
“Been a long time window shopper since I was a kid in those days when they used to be located on Yates St. Wonderful place to buy but super dangerous because all it takes is lack of self-control and you'll easily blow a hole in your wallet hauling away some nice stuff.
I was having an "ooting" with a former acquaintance and after he sees my eyes light up with all the wonderful displays, he decided to purchase an Anya Forger & Bond figurine out of the blue. Usually in past decades I would wander to buy figurines in Asian shops in the Lower Mainland but nice that this shop has most items so one less reason to make an expensive trip to find rare items. Staff are friendly and inviting; good inventory of items. Definitely won't mind continuing to visit for decades to come.”
