I was visiting from Toronto and happened to stumble upon this liquor store since it was close to my stay. Absolutely loved the customer service there , they were helpful , communicative and the store even had a decent selection of wine . Definitely will come back when i visit again .

Great liquor store and very friendly but their PoS system requiring you to select a language and then immediately asking for a tip is very sneaky. Don't get me wrong I like that there is an option to tip, but they way it is currently set up is very deceptive.

The rudest customer service I've ever experienced. I live a block away from this establishment so it'd be nice if I could do business here but I'll walk an extra block for better service. One time the employee offered my small Yorkie a treat, I said sure and then she yelled at him to sit down. I've never seen someone yell at another person's dog like that. Today, I was trying to help an elderly guy use the debit machine, she came over and scolded me for... "not helping him enough" I don't know what her deal was but I've never experienced such blatant belligerence from an employee who's meant to serve the public. Do yourself a favor and walk an extra block up to yates street liquor Express. It's the same store but a wildly better staff. A word of advice to the co-op that now owns that store - send your employees to a customer service class or just clean house because their behaviour is consistantly atrocious.
Two months ago, I wrote a review detailing my negative experiences at this establishment and recommended patronizing the Yates location instead due to the numerous bad customer service incidents I had encountered. Despite living closer to this location, I stopped coming in for a while. Today, I decided to give it another try and encountered the girl I had mentioned in my previous review, though I did not recognize her at first. She recognized me and aggressively confronted me, demanding to know if I was the one who wrote the review.
When I confirmed it was me, instead of addressing the issue professionally, she continued to provoke me. I suggested that instead of baiting me, she should focus on improving her service. I was shocked and appalled that she still works there, especially since I doubt I'm the only one who has been bullied by this employee. The situation escalated to the point where another employee with short hair had to intervene and stop her colleague from arguing with me.
I am deeply disappointed and concerned about the management's handling of this situation. Allowing an employee to confront and harass a customer over a legitimate review is unacceptable. This experience has further solidified my decision to avoid this location and recommend others to do the same. The Yates location continues to be a much better option for respectful and professional service. I can't always avoid the location due to its convenience so maybe you can let your employee know it's not okay to harass the customers.

Best customer service! The two guys made pleasant conversation and helped carry my items to the front. Would rate 10/10 if I could!!

The staff were diligent but somewhat happenstance. It could be due to a variety of circumstances so on that note overall, if I'm ever in the area and need to hit up an LQ, I'm always gonna go there ?

Staff: it's up to the manager
Me Could you leave a note for the manager?
Staff: idk. I have before, and nothing happened.
Me: ok..... maybe you could leave a note regardless?
Staff: smiles condescendingly and gives me my total.

Wtaf, I'll just shop elsewhere, and the fact that there's a tip option on your interac machine is such a joke!! (Not out loud).

This store will charge you $1.00 more than the prices they advertise on their shelves, be very careful if you choose to shop here… it’s a total scam. Literally happens every time I buy something. The staff will play dumb if you call them out on it.Always double check the price at check-out, or better yet avoid this place all together.

I had the utmost delight to be served by Stephanie. She really made my visit to the store memorable. I wanted a selection of Craft Beers and I didn't know which ones to get because I have no idea of any of them. She went through all the different types and made some decent suggestions for me. 10/10 would recommend
