I live in the neighbourhood and often walk by this shop. I've popped in twice, and the same thing happens. The owner doesn't look up, greet me or say hello, even if she's not talking to somebody else. In all my years of going into other stores, the person behind the counter says hello first no matter what they're doing. If busy, they'll say I'll be with you in a moment. For example, the staff at Chintz are very friendly and make sure to greet you as you walk in. That's the proper way.But this woman doesn't think greeting people is part of running a business or showing friendly customer service.I would highly recommend that she take a course or read a book on how to be welcoming since it obviously doesn't come naturally to her. It's a way of having customers wanting to come back and, conversely write a nice review. The merchandise is nice, she isn't.

I love, love this store!! This shopping experience here is absolutely amazing - so relaxing, and the owner is so incredibly helpful. She knows her business and she really knows people. She treats everyone was such great respect and is interested in their story and it's always eager to help. If you're looking for something unique, for yourself or for someone special, you will definitely find it in this store. I recommend it highly to everyone.

Was in the store today, what a cute little shop. Staff was very helpful about using mineral paint. Very friendly. Will definitely shop there again.

The owner is not a friendly person to all customers. I was in the other day, there was only one other customer who the owner was talking to. You think that as a professional person who should know good customer service that she would acknowledge a new person and say hello at least, but no. She just kept talking. I think she could make room for greeting a new person in the store. Other shopkeepers certainly know how to do this. Plus she has corona paranoia. Nowhere in town have I experienced not being able to look at something or pick it up without this kind of rudeness. She says she's following provincial guidelines. Where does it say customers can't touch anything? If that were the case, then all the grocery stores, etc. would have been shut down. Simply not true. She is simply making this up because she's so fussy, and that was even before the virus. I will avoid this store in future as she makes the shopping experience very unpleasant.

The owner/staff have always been very nice to me, and quite helpful.However, I am only rating it four stars because the shopping hours are very frustrating. I live in North Saanich and work a regular work-week, so it makes it hard to get here…the only place in Victoria which sells Fusion Paint (the main reason that I shop here). The shopping hours are currently only a few hours per day, for only half of the week. I can’t fault the owner for picking her own hours, as it’s her own shop, but as a consumer it’s not always easy to work around. I guess the main customer base must not be the working M-F crowd.

A quaint little shop with a great selection of home decor. Pleasant staff who were very attentive and helped me pick out the perfect gift for my wife.If you are in the Oak Bay area pop in .....highly recommended !

I would like to say...that the owner is very helpful, knowledgable and a delight to deal with. Always a wonderful atmosphere at her shop....must say my favorite place to go!!

Bad service! The owner was very mean and rude...After we using the sanitizer to clean our hands she still blamed us for touching too much of her stuff. And when we were paying the bill (yes we still bought something) my friend wanted to have a look of the vase on the cashier table, but the owner took it right away and told us don’t touch it it was not for sale! Omg Please CLOSE your shop if you believe COVID-19 is so serious or at least you could make a notice board to remind the customers which of your items are not allowed to be touched! You wanted to make money but won’t let people touch and see? How ridiculous! I can’t help thinking if the owner is a racist just coz we were Asian. Would never come back.

I just popped in this very cute shop to buy a friend, who is a frequenter of this store, a gift card. The woman at the till was very nice. She had not processed a gift card transaction before but called someone who walked her through the process so I didn't walk out empty handed. I really appreciate her helpfulness!

I must correct the Lady who says they do not sell "Fusion" paint, they do sell and stock it...Fusion is the company that makes it and it is a chalk mineral paint, but did not enjoy my visit today when the salesperson said they were closed even when their web-site said open at 11.00am and it was 11.10 and their door was wide open, needless to say I may not be back

Rhis is a very pretty store. There are beautiful deaign ideas and many gorgeous products. The owner is a delight.
