Darren has been super helpful and great while my family and I adjust to our new surroundings. He has always responded immediately in a professional manner. Darren definitely gets 5stars for doing more than what his job entails!
I do feel that Devon properties could do better at ensuring things that were advertised be fulfilled properly and that falls on the PM who I’ve yet to meet, my review will be cont’d….. well here is the rest I have to say. PM doesn’t give a hoot about this building and if we didn’t have Darren this place would be worse off. Devon properties gets a 0. As does the PM 0 from me! My 5 starts are solely for our building manager Darren which I have learned they fired to cover their own . Thoroughly disappointed and will not be renting again from here in future.

I've been a tenant for over 30 years renting from a variety of companies and Devon has truly been the best to date! I moved into Quadra a few months ago and the service, professionalism and cleanliness of my new apartment were all amazing. The building manager is always friendly, kind and if I need any help, she's always approachable. I wished I rented a suite managed by Devon years ago!

I can’t tell you how unprofessional this company truly is. They have the worst management and they couldn’t care a less about their tenants. All that matters is their pocket book. I lived at Glen Valley Grove for two plus years and I can’t tell you how horrible it was when Devon took over from Ironclad. We were promised so much and nothing was delivered. The best part was the Starbucks coffee bar that was supposed to open, it was even in my lease, and it never happened. Devon always blamed someone else. Then they had the audacity to have a picture of the coffee bar on their website. When I pointed it out to the property manager they took it down.
Never never ever rent from Devon Properties. You have been warned.

This is the worst Property Management company in Victoria. There property managers do not care about the tenants what so ever. I have to say the building manager is amazing. I feel sorry for her in a way. Do yourself a favour when you are looking to rent avoid Devon Properties. Trust me.

As a fire safety service provider I deal with many strata management companies and managers. I can say that Jack at Devon properties has been one of the top mangers I’ve dealt with. The buildings I service for him are managed professionally and he takes the safety of the occupants and the building very seriously. His buildings are always very well maintained.

I used to be able to park my vehicle for free at my building. Since Devon took over, it’s gone from free to $150 a month - not in a secured parkade, not covered, nothing. Absolute cash grab. Super disappointing.

My parent moved into Fraser Tolmie Apartments in 2019. QUADREAL was property management - organized, professional, responsive, caring. They took great pride in their maintenance duties - the place was spotless! When DEVON PROPERTIES took over the maintenance, they were neglectful and didn't stay on top of regular cleaning or repairs. There were stains on the hallway carpets and tons of nicks in the walls, door frames and the renovation crews tracked dirt and dry wall dust all over. 14 months after the first promise to wash the carpets, it still was not done! I asked again and was said they still needed to move through the audit priorities. In the end, Devon Properties NEVER washed the hallway carpets in about a 2 year span!
In 2024, First Service Residential took over from Devon. The new property manager is a warm-hearted, service-oriented person who explained that First Service has quickly taken on lots of important improvements, such as painting, energy-efficient lightning, secure parcel delivery lockers and carpet selection. Finally, the filth that Devon Properties allowed to build up can be purged!
All in all, I can say that of the three companies (Quadreal, First Service Residential and Devon), Devon was the poorest property management company by far. Pathetic.
PHOTO: Just one example of stains that have been here for over 1.5 years, despite Devon Property promises of washing. High traffic cleaning should occur at least every 6 months!

I went to go visit Braemore Manor to see an apartment. The buildings property manager confirmed the viewing literally 20 minutes before the view time. I asked for an application form at the end and he just doesn't respond at all. Very professional...

We first met Janice Chalmers, Oceanna Apartments building manager, January 12th when she showed us available units. Besides finding an apartment we really liked, we fell in love with Janice! She is warm, caring, funny, and good at her job. We are so happy to call Oceanna home and Janice a friend.

I have stayed as a guest at the Fernwood Manor and have to say that Robert is an amazing building manager! He is always seen around the building and property doing some job or another and is always friendly, courteous, and accommodating with all requests and inquiries.
