Had been going to Curious Comics since I was a kid. In total I’ve spent thousands of dollars there over the years to support local businesses.
Some of the staff are nice but the others are super rude. Every time I’ve gone in as an adult I feel like my soul is getting sucked out due to the atmosphere and attitude, and the only other store that does that for me EBGames (now rebranded to GameStop).
Anytime I’ve ever tried to make small talk or even just ask questions the staff were rude to me, even when purchasing towers of comics.
I haven’t supported them in a few years and I definitely won’t unless something changes.
The selection itself is decent and the prices are okay for a local store (about what you would expect). The rude staff and atmosphere are the biggest detractors.

Could be a nice store, I found the staff to be about as helpful as a bag of rocks. They seem to not know much about the stuff they sell, and seem to care less about it. I was NOT impressed, cuz I've spent WAAAY too much money in this store.

Came in with my family today, and my 7 year old son was looking for an Amazing Spiderman comic book. The worker treated my son nicely and helped him find which book he needed, and explained how the movies and comics don't line up perfectly, and how the comic books come in collections now etc, and helped him find what part of the story would be close to what he was looking to find. I really like seeing employees take children seriously instead of brushing them off. I really appreciated it as a mom and a shopper! I hope to see more of this helpful service. We will be back again :)
