In the end, I came out with 8 new work outfits, and I’ve been getting continuous compliments from my work colleagues ever since. Cannot wait to go back and do some more shopping.”

“This is by far the best men's wear store in the city. I was looking for some nice clothes for a wedding and to update my wardrobe and saw a lot of different men's wear stores. A lot of places tried to make me suit their clothes instead of finding clothes and a look that suits me. The brothers who operate Straith's are warm and friendly and helped me bring to life the idea I had for my look. After I explained what I wanted and what I wanted it for, they immediately understood me. There was no pressure and no pushiness. They get it. I am really happy to have found this store. It's a real asset to the city that we have a store as great as Straith's. The clothes are fantastic and really great quality. I will be returning every time I am looking for new men's wear and recommending Straith's to all of my friends.”
“It’s rare you get to meet someone as kindhearted and sweet as Margot. Margot is so supportive and kind, and she made our experience so exciting and fun!When she heard my sister and I never got to pick out prom dresses because of the pandemic, she took us around her store and found us the most beautiful, one-of-a-kind dresses! Margot cares deeply for her costumers and listens carefully to their needs and interests. She took so much time helping us try on different dresses and making us feel special! “Mona consignment has to be hands down my favourite consignment shop in Victoria. The owner and staff always pick out the best items to sell at their shop and I have to say some of my favourite clothing items has come from this store. The staff are always attentive and help guided me into trying items that I typically wouldn’t go for and I end up always loving it. I will always be a supporter of this business and would definitely recommend to everyone I know!!!”

“I bought some clothes and a Cotopaxi backpack. Loved both. I initially thought the shirts were quite expensive but after traveling in 40+ degree heat in Japan and the ease of handwashing and drying these items, they are invaluable!! The backpack is comfortable to wear and spacious enough to easily carry 6 days worth of clothing and other gear.”

“Lovely store! I bought a nice sweater and have been using a lot since. Tho, I had a whole in it within the first two uses and that was quite upsetting. Fortunately, they offer free reparations for life! Now, it does take 3-4 weeks to get it back…
Anyway, been to this store three times before and the employees were always the best. They ask lots of questions and show interest in what you’re saying.”
“I was thoroughly impressed by how committed Wes was to finding the product and size I was after on a recent visit. I guess their new style of tags have an RFID sensor in them, so they can use a magic wand to track the item down, super cool, and super awesome when a visual search comes up empty. Great store!”
“Mostly women's clothes, but there are some crazy good pieces sometimes for men/unisex too! I enjoy checking Dots out, and the staff are helpful and kind. It's just a real good place.”
“Place is too fire at all times, always the best gear in there - a bit pricey but worth every penny when it comes to quality!
Only negative thing I could possibly say would be the vibe sometimes. Like if you don’t dress or look a certain way the people in there will treat you differently.

“How long has it been since you walked into a clothing store and were greeted by name? I haven't been into this wonderful shop in months, and yet Janice remembered me! She remembered my style, too, and had all sorts of suggestions to make about the myriad of new spring and summer pieces that had come in. It's never rushed here. You can take your time, have help when you want it, or be left to quietly browse on your own. What with the Italian linen, the Canadian bamboo fibre clothing, and lots in between, it's the perfect place to shop for women's clothes, both casual and business. But you have to get there early in the season! Their styles sell out really quickly. Ask Janice - she knows!”

“I was excited to find a Canadian retailer selling a good selection of Stepney Workers Club shoes so I ordered a pair from Calculus on June 4 for my friend's birthday on June 18. Their site required me to pay $15 for Canada Post expedited shipping, but I figured this would ensure the shoes would arrive in Toronto in time for the birthday.By June 9 the order status still hadn't updated to "shipped" so I reached out to Calculus via email asking when shipping was expected.By June 13 I had not received a reply so I sent a DM through their Instagram page asking if someone could get back to me. After another couple days of no reply I emailed again asking them to cancel the order since it didn't seem like it was going to be fulfilled and there was no option to cancel online. Finally the owner replied saying that he had been away but was now working on getting all the orders shipped. I was bummed that the shoes wouldn't make it here in time for the birthday, but from the owner's email it sounded like they would be shipped in the next day or two, so I let my friend know their gift would be just a few days late. No problem.As of today (June 22) I still have not received a shipping confirmation. I reached out again yesterday for an update, but again no reply. It's been almost 3 weeks since I placed the order so at this point I've given up hope that the shoes will come. As a last resort I'm going to have to request a chargeback through my credit card company since it doesn't seem like my order cancellation request will be acknowledged either. Disappointing experience all around as I like supporting Canadian businesses, but will have to find a US or UK retailer for the shoes now.Edit: Graham the owner reached out to me with an apology as there was an inventory error and the shoes were no longer in stock in the smaller size I ordered. It's unfortunate it took so long to make this discovery, but he issued my refund in addition to providing me a gift card for the store, so I really appreciate this gesture to rectify the mistake. The sweatshirt I ordered instead is really great quality and it shipped quickly.”
