“This review is a difficult one because I've had several issues with CIBC in general over the last 6 weeks which left me wondering if I should continue banking with them at all.However, once I presented the problems to a teller named Jeffery, he was able to fix the problems in a timely fashion. These where complicated issues that not even CIBC telebanking could fix after I had called them several times.Jeffery deserves more than 5 stars. He clearly knows what he's doing and has excellent people skills. He's a guy who knows how to get things done properly!Thank you!”

Feel like I went from my secure network to their exposed mall guest network. Made it frustrating to use my phone in time, worry about my bill and plan. Once I left it all worked on my data again.”

1079 Douglas St, Victoria“The branch is spacious with friendly staff and a guard but the teller island desks design are unconventional. Customers are able to see other tellers’ / customers’ screens which could be a possible invasion of privacy.The bank likely wants the customer to have a more personal relaxed experience, but there are reasons behind the conventional designs of banks. The people who use the tellers the most are seniors who have trouble with bank machines. They are the ones who most need their privacy protected.”
“Thank you to the BMO Department that refunded $119 to me for a mistaken charge. I hadn't noticed it, but you did! I received a lovely letter apologizing, describing what happened, and promising the refund. The refund plus interest showed up within two days. Thanks again for being careful!”
