When I was in desperate need, the workers at Beacon were there for me. Not only did they find me a great place to call home, they also teamed up and helped me move. They assisted me with money for food by way of a generous gift card. They are awesome! Highly recommended

Incompetent scheduling and management. Willing to let clients rot in their homes. Untrained HCWs do not report falls. Shifts the blame onto VIHA rather than asking for help. Unwilling to change or accept criticism. Perfectly fine with cashing paycheques to neglect the elderly. Scheduling will harass and make sexual advances to employees to fill shifts. Will exploit employees and has violated Employment Standards Act in 2019.

Very flaky with there schedule , some workers not trained enough to handle a 82 yr old dementia patient .One worker did not check the water temp and almost scalded her , which I was a witness to after hearing my mother screaming ....not happy to say the least ... I have very little faith in quite a few of there workers ...let’s just leave it at that !!!

The staff are not helpful - billing, nursing, reception at the office. They make many mistakes and multiple people come to the house that are not supposed to attend. They cancel appointments and have shown up at 5pm when they were supposed to arrive around 2pm. I could go on - I hope that this is just a temporary staffing/training issue and my concerns will be dealt with in a reasonable manner as this is my mom's life and safety that I am concerned about - firing us as a client is not the answer and me posting here is a call for help as I have genuinely tried to resolve on going issues since my mom hired Beacon to be her care provider in house.

Worst company to work for or be a client. Mismanagement and chaos every day. Unavailable on telephone to reach nurses or supervisors especially on weekends. How do they keep the contract when they do not meet even the minimum requirements?

The services provided are unreliable. Entering into the third week of morning visits and again no one showed up or called to say that there was no one available. The service is for an elderly lady who needs help in the morning. Totally unacceptable - watch the billing, will charge for an hour but are only there for 40 minutes.

Caring people who give great service and are compassionate. Do a lot of good in the community, helping everyone from babies to senior citizens.
