I like Vancity, but this location is some good and some bad. Good: helpful staff, convenient location (inside is wheelchair accessible), 2 outside ATM machines (not wheelchair accessible), great services. Bad: seem to never have the business desk open; often a line; lines exacerbated by clients who often seem to have complex banking needs. It's fine, but when I can, I try to go to other locations if I need a teller.

Move your money out of Vancity, its about to get a lot more expensive. They hired something like 80 stock market wealth managers right before the market crashed last year. Theyre trying to recover costs by slashing employee benefits right now, and theyre going to move onto the clientele.

My fiance tried to open an account online, then needed an phone appointment to finalize it. The lady on the phone did not seem to understand what was required and would not set one up. Nothing but a waste of my fiance's time.

This place feels so much like home for me. Never thought I'd be using this phrase to describe fried chicken, but it literally tastes like a labour of love. Their lemon pepper herb flavour is to die for! So much value for money!

I simply went there to ask to transfer money from my account on CIBC to a VanCity business account and basically I was told: ok it's done, it's gonna take 10 days. Alright I asked for a confirmation of the transaction and there was none. It's been 20 days now and the transfer was not done. It's incredible.

Lucas rules. I came in really grumpy about a problem with my account that was technically my fault, but he dealt with me in a calm and professional matter, and followed up by phone until there was a full resolution.I’ve been with Vancity for 11 years, and while not every employee interaction has been great, there have been some exceptional standouts over the years, and those people are the reason I’ve stayed a member. Lucas is now counted among them.

Had a really bad experience recently. November 1st, 2021.I withdrew 400$ but machine gave me 340$. I saw one of the bills was folded over in the pile and guessed that's why the ATM made the error.I didn't think it would be an issue but guess what. "A thorough investigation" Showed that no money was missing. I was ripped off 60$ which is no small amount and there is no way to prove it. And clearly.....clearly somewhere on the back end of their systems someone figured out a way to steal cash and pass the savings on to the customers who cant prove a thing. This was surprising and shocking that in the modern day with so many stringent systems in place a machine shorted me 60$ and on the bank end of things nothing appears missing. Clearly the investigation was not thorough enough. Clearly there was an error or theft gone under the radar. (I have a perfect credit score and no history of making these kinds of claims. This was the first time this has ever happened to me and I am still in disbelief)I am a member of another credit union named Prospera and I used a Van city machine. The investigation was submitted by Prospera. But this was a Van City machine which stole from me.Frustrating.

Friendly enough tellers, but big line ups.This is really a rant about the rubbish telephone service. Robot says sit still, use on-line, pay more money.. bvvvtt! Vancity's management keeps pretending they offer any "service," but they are arrogant and elitist.

Lots of the people that work here have a superiority complex and fake friendliness. There is at least one guy who is a bit newer than the others who is nice and genuinely helpful. Hopefully he doesn't become conceited and start talking about customers loudly in the open, like the others do.
