As a scent lover, I visited Naz through good words of my friends and did not disappoint! She is such gentle, sweet and knowledgeable person. Found a perfume right away after hearing my preference and still spent the time with me to try on a few scent that I want to explore. Ended up bringing the 1st pick home and got to know myself a little more through this experience. If you are considering, Naz’s honest analysis and pricing will definitely win you over.

What an amazing experience I had with Naz. Only a handful are pure enough to develop the spiritual ability to select a fragrance based on ones deepest personality.Going to this store was a wonderful experience filled with kindness, joy and an amazing service.Thankyou Naz!

Overtly judgemental and pretentious business owners don’t seem interested in selling perfumes to regular people. Apparently Chanel is for poors. See my full review below:I’ve always wanted to get into perfumes because of my late grandmother who had a vast collection. She was a fabulous woman, and I’d like to carry on her legacy this way. I decided that this year would be my year, and after some initial research, and compiling a list of perfumes I thought I would like, I looked up where I could go in person. This was my first stop. I wanted to support a small business instead of Sephora or Holt Renfrew. The first thing I noticed was the strong smell in the store, and I wondered how I would be able to sample new smells when it was already so pungent, but that’s beside the point of my review.As a professional artist, I have always encouraged newcomers to my area of expertise. This was not my experience at this store. The owner seemed busy with another client, so a self-appointed “temporary worker”, who is obviously just the owners son, said he could attempt to help me but he didn’t have that much experience. I was fine with this, saying that I was relatively new to the world of perfumes myself. I showed him my list of perfumes I was interested in looking at, which included legendary perfumes from Guerlain, Serge Lutens, Chanel, Hermes, Tom Ford etc. He looked down upon the perfumes on my list and called them “synthetic” and essentially lower quality than the boutique lines they stock in their store. This came across extremely pretentious but I inquired further because I am trying to learn. Maybe his judgements are based on industry credentials or science. Where would I be able to find this information? How am I supposed to know that Chanel Gabrielle is a low quality synthetic perfume made by the same single supplier that all other popular perfumes are made by? Which is what the owners son claims, although he says he has little experience in perfume… eventually I found out that it is just his opinion as a connoisseur, and it is not based on credible qualifiers or science. He told me to “do more research” and when I said I had read about these perfumes and nothing said they were cheap synthetics with low potency, he said I should deep dive into Internet forums and rabbit holes… great resource, thank you.Finally, his mom, the owner, was available to help me. I said “you don’t have any of the perfumes I wanted to look at, but I’d love it if you could point me to a few based on the notes I gravitate towards.” I had come all the way downtown and paid expensive downtown parking just to explore perfumes after all. She was not interested in helping me, in fact she seemed exhausted at the idea. She complained that she can’t help me based on general information. I asked if providing her with my preferred notes was not enough information? She reluctantly said that it was, and asked at last what I am looking for. However, she still seemed very unenthused at my presence in her store.I felt extremely discouraged at this point and did not feel welcome, so I told her I don’t want to do this anymore. She didn’t care, and dismissively said “goodbye”. What I find interesting is that she was readily helping the wealthy looking older lady before me based on notes alone. But she wasn’t interested in providing this same service for me, a 20 somethings woman. I got dressed up to go perfume shopping but I guess I didn’t look expensive enough for her to consider me a worthwhile use of her time and expertise. Or maybe she’s just a joyless, rude woman.If you simply don’t like selling perfume, maybe don’t make that your business model. If you only want customers clad in gold, good luck keeping the business open.I could have been a repeat customer as I grow my perfume collection but instead I will go elsewhere. I hope others read this review and do the same.

Definitely a must go for anyone interested in fragrances!I visited the shop for a fragrance match and Naz pretty much got me on the first try (apparently very common haha). I have been wearing the perfume I bought for several days now and have been very pleased with its longevity and scent. Also bought the perfume for a great deal when compared to online retailers. It's very fortunate that this store is local for Vancouverites :) Naz was extremely knowledgeable and kind throughout the whole process, I would definitely bring friends for a fragrance match in the future.

I had a pleasant shopping experience at the Perfume Shoppe. The store carries a decent selection of niche perfumes and the owner Naz is very knowledgeable and welcoming. If you're looking for a special perfume, do visit Naz and she will pick something curated for you.

If you are a fragrance lover, this place is a must visit! I don't know exactly what to say that hasn't been said by other reviews, but I'll try. Naz is incredibly kind, patient, and truly knows exactly what is going to smell good on you. She took one look at me and absolutely nailed what I was looking for. She also helped me find a scent I would never have found otherwise. I will be making a stop here every time I am in town.

If you ever wanted a Harry Potter like magical potion buying experience, you are in the right place.Take your time to visit this store, it's a magical experience. Lots of knowledge from the owner and great service.I am very happy with her recommendation, it smells incredible.I can't wait to go buy another scent.

Naz is a magician, a wondrous other worldly mage when it comes to determining what scents you should try, while guiding you to what scent you should wear. The fragrances found at The Perfume Shoppe Canada are made with ingredients not found in many of the offerings these days. Just say “synthetics” and Naz gives a gracious eye roll while waxing fantastic about the oils found in her wide selection of women’s and men’s fragrances. If you love to wear scent and feel it somehow defines who you are…you really must visit Naz…you will never regret it!
