“Went for a walk and discovered this great supermarket! Lots of Asian options. Average prices. Where it really excels is the atmosphere - I know that’s an odd thing to say about a supermarket. The aisles are wide, they were playing soft classical piano music, there were charming flower displays and colourful shopping carts. It had a very welcoming and peaceful vibe that made me really enjoy the shopping experience. Honestly I felt like a lot of grocery stores could learn from this place.”

“Decent place to get groceries. But, they could be on the expensive side for the non asian stuff. I really like the freshly cooked food that you can by based on weight. A good choice to get nice affordable food.”

“I usually have such a great experience coming here. However, this time I was very irritated in the mannerisms of a young Filipino cashier and the way she was speaking to the elders in front of us whilst checking out their things. Within her interactions with her customers she not once smiled and failed to make anyone feel welcome. She had very little patience and shut them down immediately when they asked her a question that took 2 seconds to answer, instead of trying to help. I ended up helping them which they were very thankful for, however it is so disappointing to imagine somebody else speaking to my parents the same way she did and not be there for them. Please be more patient with people especially if they haven’t invoked any type of aggression towards you and have done nothing but approach you with generosity. It is very hard to want to return if the cashiers are going to behave this way towards other immigrants. Truly disheartening.Edit: I appreciate their customer service team in making an effort to apologize to the elders— not many would go the extra mile to do so which I really commend.”

“Tim is one of the nicest guys people I’ve met. Ive been going to this corner store for 2-3 years now. Everytime i don’t have enough he always get money from his tip jar and pays the rest. If I could rate more I would.”

“I've had "Black salt" on my shopping list for a year now. Just found it at Royal Farm Market (apparently new owners for over a year now - embarrassed I only now noticed the new name). Shockingly diverse range of groceries - Indian spices, Chinese sauces, Mexican at great prices. Like shopping more locally vs the big box stores.”

“Staff here are very friendly and the selection is decent. Sure, it’s not the most amazing supermarket in the world but it’s the experience and atmosphere that is really nice. Few supermarkets like this where you feel there is a sense of community and people enjoy coming.”

“Tip: when you’re in need of a quick bite or some food before a movie in the theatre nearby!Convenient grocery store to grab a variety of snacks and food and ready to eat foods.Sorry not the prettiest photos - we were too hungry! Got the Italian sub, and the pulled pork sandwich, and also chicken noodle soup. They heated it up for us and it was actually very yummy and tasty! The pulled pork had juices running. They have other soups, butter chicken, curry, sushi and a bunch of other foods available too!Service at the food counter is just okay.. but hey, the food is made properly I’m happy.”

“Large and spacious, some neat international products.Security makes it uncomfortable to shop though. The gentlemen working self checkout is great. Attentive but never hovering - unlike Loblaws Arbutus”

“I used to shop here years ago and always loved the experience. I paid it a visit and was not disappointed. an I figured out why I enjoy shopping here - there is a unique aroma throughout. Combination of fresh brewed coffee, inhouse bakery, excellent full service hot/cold deli with a fresh batch of baked chicken to tease my nostrils and wet my taste buds. I go to at least 3 other Safeway's and the do not come close to this aromatic adventure. Thanks, I'll be back.....”

“Some people think the grocery store is on the small side, and granted their meat section is usually bad, but it's a very good grocery store if you aren't looking for any frills!”

“Best place for an international student to shop groceries in Vancouver. I do not have to worry about my grocery bill because of this shop. Now they have cleaned the place a lot and it is in a great condition than before.”

“It’s a nice little market and it’s close too. It even has some meat like chicken, and ground beef…. Lots of fruits ? ? ? and a wide variety of vegetables ? ?? , and dairy ? ? cereal’s, bread even canned food…. It’s a Asian market mostly but it’s been renovated and has lots of other foods now…. And prices are reasonable. I’ve been going there for about 23 years now. The staff is nice and helpful. I go there a couple times a month. It does close earlier though…. By 6 pm it’s closed. But yeah check it out for 20 bucks I can get 2-3 bags of stuff depending what I get. Be back soon ?”

“I was looking for the cross street of Mother India yesterday so was on Google to look it up and was very surprised they have such a low rating. Many of my friends and I are loyal customers of this place. We have been here countless times and the owner is nothing but pleasant every single time.In fact, I look forward to shopping here because he is always so genuine, helpful and nice.Everything is stacked neatly so I am shocked to read some of the reviews that it is a messy place to shop at.For many of us, this is the most comprehensive puja shop in Vancouver. Highly recommend it!”

“Great place for fruits and veggies in the hood. Prices are ok but worth it as quality is pretty good. Haven't tried the take out food yet. Not sure how it compares to Kent's but I will stick to Kent's as I know what I'm getting there.”

“Favorite grocery store in the area. If you like a good deal, you'll always find one here if you're flexible with your shopping list. I usually save at least $20-40 per shop here compared to the big chain grocery stores and the meat is better quality too.”

“This store is the only Persian store in Yaletown. Most of the local Persian things are available. It was recently renovated and so clean. Me. Amir is so friendly. He has gone after his sweet father, who we lost in two years. The adorable cat is the asset of this store.Highly recommend it.”

“I've been shopping here for 15 years and it's my go-to place for fresh Asian vegetables and oranges. Their produce is way cheaper than anywhere else in the neighbourhood. It's not the highest quality produce and depending on which day of the week you go shopping, you might have to do a bit of picking to get the good ones. Still, I like coming here because the staff are quite friendly and it's a nice and quick in/out shopping experience.”

“I love this small grocery store, they always have the freshest produce, they have a BBQ section where you can find freshly cooked BBQ duck and meats. They have a meat section where you can buy fresh pork etc. Because you always get good quality products, you'd always want to go back. Thank you Great Two Supermarket, I will definitely go back!”

“First time i entered the store the security guard blatantly and painfully obviously kept following me which was annoying and disrespectful. He did apologize as i left the store though. Staff friendliness is a hit and a miss.”

“It’s a nice store that makes grocery shopping so easy as it offers a variety of products from fresh fruits to canned foods to dairy and protein. We bought some items at a reasonable price and enjoyed the experience. The products we bought were mostly protein products like beef jerky or turkey, cold cuts, which were fresh and delicious.”

“The staff are incredibly kind and great. After a very uncomfortable encounter happening outside of the store, Denin (the store manager), had gone above and beyond for my sister and I, as he had walked us to our car to make sure we felt safe.Thank you, Denin, for your exceptional care and concern. Your willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed and is truly appreciated. In a world where genuine kindness can sometimes be rare, your actions stood out as a shining example of excellent customer service. It's reassuring to know that there are individuals like you who prioritize the well-being of customers beyond the confines of the store. Your gesture has left a lasting positive impression, and we are grateful for your commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment. Thank you, Denin, for turning a challenging moment into a testament of exceptional service and human decency. You won't find this kind of service at any other grocery store.”
