“Started shopping here a few months ago. Some interesting items that were new to me. Good sauce section. Appreciate that both fresh and frozen foods, especially meats, are available. I like that their produce section has seasonal vegetables so they're always quite fresh. The bakery and fresh meals are good to find in this neighborhood.”

“There are TWO Super 88s. The one on 49th and Elliott is larger, and parking may be a bit difficult, but that place has a lot more things, like a deli, and hot food to take home.

Now this one at East 32nd and Victoria is much smaller. Parking has decreased thanks to the demolition of Deutsches Haus. Parking on the street of Victoria Drive is a lot better than parking in a residential area of East 32nd, because no one really knows the rules of the road. East 34th is bad with guests wanting to go to Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant.

This place is more to find certain ingredients for ethnic cooking than compared to Superstore or T&T. They also have a membership club that you can join to accrue points.”

“Reasonably priced groceries, good selection, and great deals on produce. I often shop here when I need just a few things and they always seem to offer what I am looking for.”

“Love this store. I worked on a construction site a few years back & got to know the owner because he's a very trustworthy person. The other 'convenience' store is closed - apparently shady & that was my experience with them too.

I hadn't been in the area for a few years and store owner remembered me, wow. I now stop in after attending a dance class on Saturdays at the Collingwood Community Centre. We always have a chat and a 'catch up'. The last couple years I'd had some serious medical issues and he actually cares about his customers & how they are doing. I don't live in this area, I'm over at Fraser & 41st but will always stop in when I'm in the area. Thanks for being a nice guy Tim!”

“T&T Grocery Store is a great place to find a wide selection of Asian products, from fresh produce to specialty snacks and imported goods. The store is well-organized, making it easy to locate everything from unique sauces and spices to seafood and bakery items. The variety of fresh ingredients and ready-made meals makes it a go-to spot for those who enjoy cooking Asian cuisine or discovering new flavors. Prices are reasonable, and the quality of products is consistently high. Overall, it’s a convenient and diverse shopping experience for anyone looking for authentic Asian groceries.”

“No Frills each N.F. is independently owned.
This one has a Pharmacy inside and some products only available here.
The bonus here is the free parking on the roof top and later hours vs other N.F. locations.
All grocery stores bump up prices before December but will they go back down in the new year like they use too?”

“The soy sauce chicken was surprisingly juicy with nice sweet and salty soy sauce flavour. Goes very well with white rice and boiled veggies for an easy but tasty balanced supper. They also have tasty roast pork with very crispy skin.”

“I was surprised that I haven’t visited this fantastic supermarket since I have lived at DT for so many years! They offer the most fresh vegetable and fruits with the best price at this area! I love to shop some Chinese style tasty nuts so this is the best option for me! Plus they waive parking tickets when you shop over $50 which was no problem for me though. The lady answered phone when I needed a direction for their parking lot was patient and helpful. I am glad that I found it!”

“Generally good assortment of products, and a fairly stocked deli. Kind of annoyed I have to go to Nesters for 2 items they dont stock, but overall, they have most things I go there for (although 1 deli item I go for a lot, they will go through weeks where they dont make enough of them). My only other gripe is prices.... but thats a gripe that pretty much every store has these days..... theirs just seems to be like 5-10% more than others for identical items.”

“Large chain supermarkets stock all kinds of raw and cooked food, as well as freshly made sandwiches, which is really convenient for tourists. 20241012 I saw super beautiful maple leaves in a house near a supermarket. I really don’t need to go anywhere in particular to chase maple leaves. There are enough residential areas~”

“It’s a nice little market and it’s close too. It even has some meat like chicken, and ground beef…. Lots of fruits ? ? ? and a wide variety of vegetables ? ?? , and dairy ? ? cereal’s, bread even canned food…. It’s a Asian market mostly but it’s been renovated and has lots of other foods now…. And prices are reasonable. I’ve been going there for about 23 years now. The staff is nice and helpful. I go there a couple times a month. It does close earlier though…. By 6 pm it’s closed. But yeah check it out for 20 bucks I can get 2-3 bags of stuff depending what I get. Be back soon ?”

“Host an exquisite dinner party with authentic Eastern Asian meals by shopping at the T&T Supermarket to collect food items that have been manufactured in Eastern Asia.”

“I've been shopping here for 15 years and it's my go-to place for fresh Asian vegetables and oranges. Their produce is way cheaper than anywhere else in the neighbourhood. It's not the highest quality produce and depending on which day of the week you go shopping, you might have to do a bit of picking to get the good ones. Still, I like coming here because the staff are quite friendly and it's a nice and quick in/out shopping experience.”

“I love that there are cashiers rather than self checkouts, offering a moment of pleasant banter, great selection of quality groceries, well organized shop. Perfect size, not an overwhelming warehouse- like space but not tiny and cramped either. My top choice for everyday groceries.”

“This store is the only Persian store in Yaletown. Most of the local Persian things are available. It was recently renovated and so clean. Me. Amir is so friendly. He has gone after his sweet father, who we lost in two years. The adorable cat is the asset of this store.Highly recommend it.”

“Shopped here for a year or so when i worked @ UBC and even though it's a super small store, it had a lot for what you needed and some new things like Wagyu burgers that i never saw elsewhere in 2021-2022.. I have a car so i go to many places, but this was so convenient going back home from work and picking up a few things and prices are reasonable!! Cheers all ?”

“I was looking for the cross street of Mother India yesterday so was on Google to look it up and was very surprised they have such a low rating. Many of my friends and I are loyal customers of this place. We have been here countless times and the owner is nothing but pleasant every single time.In fact, I look forward to shopping here because he is always so genuine, helpful and nice.Everything is stacked neatly so I am shocked to read some of the reviews that it is a messy place to shop at.For many of us, this is the most comprehensive puja shop in Vancouver. Highly recommend it!”

“I have been a daily visitor to Nesters in the historic Woodwards Building for 3 plus years and I want to take a moment to highlight the exceptional service provided by Artemis in the deli department. They consistently bring a cheerful attitude and a genuine eagerness to help, whether they’re serving up delicious mini pepperoni cheesesticks or covering the checkout when things get busy.

It’s clear that Artemis cares deeply about the local community and is a loyal and hardworking member of the team. I always appreciate that they take the extra step to heat up my snacks, making my visits even more enjoyable. Interacting with them is truly a pleasure!

As a suggestion for the store, I believe adding pronouns to name tags would further promote inclusivity and help patrons interact with staff in a way that feels respectful. In today’s world, this small change can make a big difference.

Thank you, Artemis, for being such a bright spot in”

“I had a delightful interaction and conversation with the young checkout people here today, little does the young lady recently from India realize that her friendliness, authenticity and engagement made my day! :) So happy you're here in Canada! From the wet old guy with the bike Helmut.”

“The staff get a 10/10. I'll admit that initially when Buy Low was changing over to Save On foods, I was very sceptical. I still deeply miss "a great many" of the healthier options / products / brands that I enjoyed at Buy Low, but the staff never fail to impress. Especially Dharm & Sahage (produce), Bernice (long time cashier) and Kathy (Deli) (and others whom I unfortunately do not know their names). I very recently had an experience where I was unable to shop for myself and had to order pick up. I'd like to give a huge thank you to Dharm specifically for that. I believe he is new to the location, but I received exceptional service and he went above and beyond and that is very appreciated. The staff there really make the store. They are a big reason I keep going back. Thanks to all.”
