Terrible alteration jobs on dresses and pants (total of 6). Originally estimated it would two weeks but when I come to pick up they said the machine is broken and to come back in a week.
I called after a week and they still hadn’t completed it, and to check back again in another week.
I called again, and it still was not done and was told to come back the next day.
It’s apparent the alterations were done extremely rushed and last minute. The seams are extremely uneven and threads are pulling loose from places where they should not be loose. I may need to get this altered again to prevent seams from completely opening. Extremely disappointed in the quality of the job and I strongly recommend against going to this establishment at least for alterations.

I have been a loyal client of Shaughnessy Cleaners for several years now. They are a lovely, family run business and they always go above and beyond for me. They do high-quality cleaning and alterations work, and are always on-time.

We go to Shaughnessy cleaners all the time! We have been bringing our clothes here for cleaning and alternations / repairs years. They are a lovely family business. They always go above and beyond. They are punctual and they’ve stayed late before when I’ve called in traffic. They really care about their clients. Can’t say enough good things!

Thrilled to have this dry cleaner across the street from my apartment!
The lady is so nice and competent~always gets the stains out of white shirts that I honestly can’t believe would come out~most dry cleaners now just give it back with a tag stating that the eco friendly products they use couldn’t cut or it whatever but not the case here~also excellent repairs!brought a silk acne studios shirt with both cuffs ripped along the buttons and it was repaired to prior condition and I sold it!highly highly recommend shaughnessey dry cleaners!!

Came here to get my brand new t shirt hemmed.
When I went to pick it up at the day on the ticket I was told it was not ready.
Then I had to go back again and it was covered in blue chalk at the hem because she said she couldn’t see the hem without that colour. (it’s a a white shirt) She then said she would get the blue chalk off.
The third time I went back it still had blue chalk on it and some of the chalk turned into stains on the shirt because she said she steamed it. She also removed the product tag and did not put it back on. She then said she would get rid of the stains and put the tag back on.
My fourth time going back, there was still stains from the chalk on the shirt. She told me that it was not her fault.
Now I did not end up paying for the hem. But what I received from this place was a t shirt that does not have a straight hem, and stains that she did not remove. I don’t think she gets on the sewing machine very much.
I have to take my business elsewhere because of how I was treated.
If I did not speak up about any of these weird issues she would’ve been happy to let me leave and pay for a t shirt with a poor hem job and stains.

Unfortunately, a lot of places overcharge you on their services because you don't think to look when they say it's the standard price. Don't be deceived it's always good to check around. I had some items services by them. I should have asked about the pricing but thought I could help out this small shop. I got rippled off instead and delays in when my suit would be ready by. I am going to take my business elsewhere where I know the prices are competitive but fair

Shaughnessy cleaners did a great job of dry cleaning my suit jacket. It looks like new. Also they repaired a zipper on my favorite Uniqlo fleece. Affordable price, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'll be back and highly recommend this business to my friends in the neighborhood for their dry cleaning and alteration needs. My husband and I have tried many other dry cleaners before, but when we discovered Dean, we have not gone anywhere else. We have been and will continue going here for years. Dean is a kind human being who also happens to run a great business. He cares about the quality of the work, and equally important he care about his customers. If it wasn’t weird, I would hug him!!!!

I do not recommend this place! They are unprofessional and dishonest people! They charged me 100 dollars for my duvet and cover (Queen size) Then they ruined my cover! Gave it back to me with red and blue dots all over it! Then made some unreasonable excuses and did not take any responsibility, not even trying to fix the problem and not giving a refund!
