I used to shop here years ago and always loved the experience. I paid it a visit and was not disappointed. an I figured out why I enjoy shopping here - there is a unique aroma throughout. Combination of fresh brewed coffee, inhouse bakery, excellent full service hot/cold deli with a fresh batch of baked chicken to tease my nostrils and wet my taste buds. I go to at least 3 other Safeway's and the do not come close to this aromatic adventure. Thanks, I'll be back.....

I’ve never seen more than 2/7 checkouts open and the self checkout is closed most of the time.

I used to really like this Safeway, until today. The cashier was so rude. Unfortunately this was not the first time I had to deal with this cashier. She is always rude. I had purchased quite a few items today so I told her that I have nerve damage in my hands which causes me to constantly drop things. I hate having to tell people about my hands but I was having a lot of trouble and needed help. She put a few of my purchases in one bag and went to the next customer, leaving a lot of my items for me to finish baging on my own. So, of course some of my groceries ended up on the floor and she just ignored this. It was very embarrassing to have all those people around while I tried to finish up but my hands were not cooperating. Having a basically unseen disability is very difficult, and there are many people who have disabilities that are not obvious. I did ask to speak to her boss so that she could understand that everyone isn't as lucky as she is and helping someone with a disability might be a really nice thing to do.Oh well, I guess we are lucky in Canada because here are so many places to buy food.

great local grocery in strip mall on king ed and oak. has everything compacted into a relatively small footprint. ample parking outside. liquor store close by in same mall. good produce, good deli, meat section adequate, frozen foods, flowers, houseware, recycling area as well.

Bought some white marange cookies and they smelled like wet dog after biting into them and they had a very chalky texture. Then my friend said they smell like wet dog because the eggs ? have most likley expired and were using old.eggs.. I had a stomach ache for 3 days.and nausia.

Typical Safeway. In strip mall that has vqa store, several restaurants etc. Lots of parking although can get busy. Shell gas station, TD bank. Pretty well laid out. Pretty busy place. Gotta watch cashiers, frequent wrong codes. Frequently out of stock.

Absolutely love the value size for croissants from Safeway! Personally prefer here’s to Arbutus’… If you like soft and not over baked pastries, this is for you ?Their self checkouts are open based on the time I guess. I was able to use it during dinner time and then when I came back it was close ?Safeway is usually spacious but this is relatively small

Dropped in for a late night snack but all the hot food was boxed and wrapped up. The roast chicken must had been under the warmer for hours because meat just fell off the bones easily. No cutting required. Reasonable number of late night shoppers made me safe but signs of homelessness at the front door made it uneasy for me to leave. Well lit parkade but need to be vigilante.

This is a really good safe way it's very well laid out, well stocked the only problem is the parking can be a little difficult but I didn't have any trouble that day.
