Hello,
Spend $150 for "Check for ratling noise in cabin".
After 2 hrs. received diagnosis of front links loose, front brakes worned out, replace front struts. After going to another shop, found this as completely wrong
diagnosis, for what I asked for.
Would like another free inspection or money back.

Nice people who provided detailed reports, 2 issues:
1) Pawlk quoted me $1500 for a water pump replacement, a 5.5 hour job based on "book time". Fair, but I just got the job done with another reputable mechanic at Burnaby for $830 all in who did the job in 2.5 hours and DID NOT charge me based on "book time". The water pump and coolant that that mechanic charged me was oddly 3 times cheaper than what Pawlik quoted for their parts.
2) I was quoted $110 for a diagnosis for a coolant leak, bill ended up being a hundred more than that. Not too shocking since I drive a Porsche but I rather they give me a more accurate quote.

Brought my 1976 Corvette Sting Ray in for an out of province inspection. Not many places want to do inspections on these older cars. Scotty was eager to help me pass the inspection on my vehicle by regularly updating me on what parts & amount of labour work I needed on the vehicle. The mechanic was knowledgeable. The quote was very accurate also. I felt like I was taken care of as soon as I walked into the building. Thank you Scotty. Cheers

Pawlik is awesome! No one wants to have their vehicle in the shop of course but going to Pawlik is always great for me. The front of house guy Scott is an absolute legend, as a customer it’s been 10 out of 10 dealing with him. If I owned a business I would hire that guy in a second. The technicians use their time efficiently and got multiple birds done with one stone on my car. No hassle.

Not happy. Had a car inspection done took 2 hours they did not find an oil leak nor did they find out it needed new engine mounts.
I dont recommend them.

I had a car inspection done. I live in a different city so I rely on car inspections to make a decision on whether to buy a car and price. They did a terrible job. They did not find an oil leak nor did they see that the engine mounts needed to be replace. I would not have paid what I did for the car. Obviously they didn't take the car for a test drive. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM

Everything about our experience at Pawlik was 5 stars. From my initial phone call, to drop off, to the speedy service, the amazing information sent to me electronically (including photos, a no-jargon summary, a quote), to pick up. I didn't know automative repair could be like this. Thank you!!!!

Excellent service diagnosing and repairing my Audi A6. I travel to this shop from the Sunshine Coast as I see Bernie’s team as highly skilled and trustworthy. Worth the trip any day!

Great group, sent me updates and a detailed report of my service as well as anything that they thought needed attention, to decide whether or not I wanted it fixed. Car was fully inspected and their price was ½ of other groups, that I enquired about. Will be going back for my next minor service in 8,000 kms. ?

I am giving 5 stars for the service here! From email communications to the actual work done they deserve a lot of praise.
Gillian is so friendly and has the patience of a saint as she promptly replied to my emails & answered all of my questions. Having worked in customer service, I know how tiring it can be. So thank you Gillian!
Scotty was knowledgeable and patient. Taking the time to explain everything & help get my car back on the road.
And of course a shout out to the team working on my car. Thank you for your hard work!
I came to them with the suggestion from my general mechanic to replace the car because my turbo was likely toast.
They could have easily run with that and tried to make as much money off of me as possible but they didn't. Instead, they provided the services my car actually needed & for a reasonable price (considering the costs of car repair is never cheap!)
They were also flexible with my appointment time when I woke up, day of, to a dead battery.
I know where I'll be returning the next time I need repairs (hopefully not any time soon!)

Have not used Pawlik directly but bought a car from a dealer that used them for an oil change. The Pawlik sticker was in the window and was current (Dec11,2023). I recently changes the oil in the car myself and was very disappointed to find that the oil drain bolt was missing its sealing washer and to compensate the drain bolt was over tightened to compensate for the missing washer. Even over tightened the drain plug still leaked. Very poor work, not sure I would trust them with my car when they can't even get an oil drain bolt put back in correctly.

Altogether a great experience- I needed a large transmission job done (swap and reprogram of a continuous variable type). The job ended up being expensive but was done at the market rate, and although it took longer than I would have wanted it to, there were complications due to the condition of the vehicle. They were upfront at every step of the way with what was going on and how they were going to fix it. I would highly recommend these guys to do any large repairs, they are thorough and knowledgeable.
