This is one of my favorite stationary shops in Vancouver! They're also one of the few places that carry black wings (my favorite pencils). Be very careful going to this shop because you'll end up spending a good chunk of your money here!! The staff is really friendly too!

Melyana (unsure of spelling) helped me with choosing a fountain pen. She got out testers and paper for me. She is wonderfully patient, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. I was happy with the product and the recipient loved it too. This store, in general, has a lot of neat things; I came back here a month later because I remembered something that'd make for a fun gift.

Unrivalled selection of stationery & related accoutrements. If you are after handmade paper, ask the staff. They also carry embroidered ribbon, leather goods, invitations, and every kind of calendar. Worth a trip to Granville island just for this shop, especially if you’re a stationery nut.

Literally everything Marin said in her review of this shop in 2020, and then some. My husband and I were waiting outside for my seventeen year old daughter as the shop was full of looky-loos. My daughter texted me that she had found an ornament and as I walked in, the middle aged lady with glasses was shoving a basket at her and she was confused as to what was happening as she was just holding her ornament. Strike one. Since I was in there, I wanted to look at some more ornaments and said woman was blocking my way. I explained to my daughter that I wanted to look at ornaments if I could make my way over and the woman just sat there listening to us. I'm going to digress here and say that while I believe each shop has a right to surveil as the please, but treating each person as a thief when all they want to do is spend money, isn't the way. I also will add that I have owned a small gift shop that is about three times the size of this place, that gets four times busier than it was in there, during certain times of the year. While I understand that people steal, I can't imagine throwing off my sales by being so grossly intrusive in others' shopping experiences. Just horrible. Back to the rest... I should have walked out and explained the reason for my daughter but as a small business owner, I was like "whatever, we will make a purchase." As I walked to look at the other ornaments, I had another customer ask a younger employee about some "stationery" for her "four year old". Really? The employee then proceeds to push me out of the way and shows the woman everything under the sun (it was under the counter of the ornaments I was looking at) while never even addressing the fact that she didn't excuse herself for pushing me out of the way or thank me for (over) patiently waiting. When we decided to check out (stupidly on my part) I was asked if I wanted a bag for .25 cents. Again, whatever. The same middle aged woman with glasses FLIES through the crowd to get to the counter to "help" the person ringing me up and AGAIN tells me that I'll have to pay .25 cents for a bag. At this point I ignored her. Which is really hard for me as a retail worker to do. But I'm frustrated with being treated like a fucking suspect while patronizing her shop. And also not about to take it out on the person that was ringing me up. The woman with glasses threw out a big thank you as we were leaving and I kicked myself all the way out the door. What idiot spends money at such an uninviting place?
