I liked this store better when it was no frills and cramped everywhere you walked.I was in recently and the pricing isn't as good as it was.I can get better produce prices on Commercial Dr.So I will go once in a while to check for new grocery items especially during the Holiday season...

Sunrise has grown up. It has many of the trappings of a "real" supermarket, yet retains the "corner store" (which it is, literally) quality and super-low prices coupled with an amazing variety of product. Since I cook for charity I'm also looking both for good value and food-service-sized canned goods; they've got both.I'm delighted that with their most recent remodel there's a lot more aisle space. You can still be friendly with your fellow shopper, but you don't HAVE to be anymore...

One of the cheapest place to get your veggies and fruits in Vancouver. Getting decent quality can be a hit or miss sometimes. But I can get a full reusable bag full of food for $15! 4 bunch of green onions for $1, pack of Thai Basil for $1.79, sometimes 3 limes for $1, a pack ofini tomatoes for $1.99 and so on. There is metered parking around. It's not the nicest part of town, so just be careful. Though I haven't run into any issues yet.
