“This liquor shop boasts an extensive selection, especially known for its variety of Japanese sake, shochu, umeshu, and other Japanese beverages. I used to be a frequent customer because of its Japanese offerings. However, since moving to Ontario, I've found the Japanese options to be somewhat limited. Whenever I'm in Vancouver, I always stop by this liquor store.”

“This is by far the best liquor store in vancouver when it comes to variety. They have everything from obscure to mainstream products and their staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. They are about 15% more than BC Liquor stores but for the conveniences of getting everything you need (and a few things you didn’t know you needed) it’s worth it.”

“The ladies at customer service deserve a raise/bonus. I asked if they had mulled wine and they did not but they were so friendly and helpful. They tried their best to suggest other places that might have the spice bags. The young dark haired lady (regrettably didn’t get her name) was like “actually, I got a bag on a bottle the other day, let me see if I have it”. She rummaged in her bag and low and behold there one was. She personally gave me her bag of mulled spices. A Christmas miracle and so kind”

“What a fantastic wine shop I wish I had one like this close to my home in the UK. This was my second visit whilst staying with friends. It is an Aladdins cave with wines from all over the world. Marc is incredibly knowledgable about the wines and spent a lot of time explaining the different vineyards and wines and was able to guide me when I told him the types of wine I usually drank. The Falanghina was fabulous as was the champagne. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try some great wines.”

“Even though the size of the store is small, they have a really good variety of product -- and good quality product, too! You can get a top quality wine for a really good price, and they have a really nice selection of craft beers in singles. The employees there know their stuff; I asked a few questions and was met with enthusiastic, informed responses. Even though it was busy, they still had time to attend to each customer, make sure they were following the rules, and check everyone's ID's. Great job!”

“I had the most excellent experience tonight at District Wine. This is the second year I’ve driven from the North Shore to pick up one of their red wine advent calendars (12 days). Last year they were all packaged in beautiful wooden boxes, and the presentation was fantastic. When I went to pick up my box this year it came in two separate cardboard boxes, it just didn’t have that same something special that the packaging the year before did. When I mentioned this to the staff, Michael and the other gentleman working went above and beyond. Michael went and found a beautiful box and completely repacked my order, he ensured everything was perfect and even cut out the QR codes from the cardboard packaging to place in the new box. I was able to leave with a gift that would impress anyone. He even carried the box to my car :)While I was there I noticed they offer 20% off of orders of 36 bottles or more…so likely will make this drive more than just annually going forward.Thanks again!”

He used to be a bartender and can give you recommendations to places based on what you like. They offer a professional selection of bitters, garnishes, etc. They also had a great selection of books too if you are into reading more about cocktails.”
