I used to evangelize about Foodness all the time because it's such a neat specialty store, but I won't be going there anymore. On my most recent visit, the shopkeeper was unmasked and there was a prominently displayed anti-masker sign, so I walked out emptyhanded. It's really disappointing because I love to see local, indie businesses thrive, but I cannot continue to support them when they cannot do the barest minimum to care for their community.I'm done.(I am unable to respond to the business' response directly, but to clarify, my issue is with actions taken by the business, not by the customers -- I did not see another customer there, but admittedly did not stay long. It was the person working there who was unmasked, and the "Hugs Over Masks" sign was displayed on *their* shelves. We wouldn't have had an issue if this had remained a "personal and private" decision, or if it was simply a customer. But when a business makes a choice to display a sign, and an employee doesn't mask, it ceases to be a "personal and private" matter.)
