Yeah, Kon barely speaks English but he isn't this transparent, honest man as portrayed by other comments. Man charged me the same rate as a dealer for an oil change. Bogus inspections added to final bill. Refuses to give you a quote. The door hinges were not greased. There were oil stains inside the vehicle and the steering wheel greasy when I got the car.

Worst shop, worst place, worst "mechanic" I ever seen in my life.
The place is a huge mess, the owner has a very bad English and the work they do is sloppy and way below average.
The positive reviews must be fake, there is no way that someone that understands quality work and customer service could even give a 2 starts review.
Insane.

Kon fixed an extremely inconvenient wiring/electrical issue with my Subaru Outback's hatch/trunk. This meant I had to either crawl through my wagon to manually unlatch the truck, or not use the trunk at all.
The first mechanic I went to (my regular) couldn't (or didn't want to dig into the panelling to potentially replace the wiring) - and that mechanic had my car for over 5 days (possibly only working on it for 3+ hours total).
Kon had my Outback for less than 2 hours before he called to say it was fixed and finished.
I now have a go-to Subaru doctor.

Kon is the best. I used to have a Subaru Legacy station wagon , now have a Mazda 6. Both have been taken care of graciously by Kon. He knows his stuff, and deserves to be treated with the utmost of kindness and respect! I love going into his shop and seeing a mess of paper everywhere, it is absolutely awesome!! He’s honest, and works super hard!! He’s intuitive, he has years of experience, and won’t steer you wrong. All of his mechanics do great work as well, so huge respect to the team.

Kon and his crew are excellent mechanics. Honest and trustworthy. He can be difficult to understand at times, but he is always on time, does what he says he will do, and charges prices that are more than fair. They looked after my old Subaru till it was at 250km. Now he’s been servicing my RAM V6 Pentastar for 75000km. Always has time to take a quick look and offer advice. Whenever I pick up my vehicle and he says “Car OK! Drive to California”, I feel like I’ve got nothing to worry about. Would recommend.

Honest, effectice great customer service.
I called all mechanics in the area. He looked at what the problem is.
As a women with no idea about vehicles he inspected the problem and made reccomendations. Most places try to over charge or upsell when they see a woman or someone who doesnt know what their doing. He did not. and I am super grateful for his service, help and time!!!

Is it possible to give this man 6/5?! He consistently delivers excellent service, for a very fair price.
Sometimes he even pulls of miracles… like on a Friday afternoon when i needed my car for a long weekend plan.
Thank you Kon and team! You’re the absolute best.
It is hard to understand Kon sometimes but just be patient, it’s worth it.

What a horrible place to take your car to be fixed. The place is an absolute pigsty filthy and unorganized. I read this before coming to the shop, but there was lots of people with good reviews that said yes, it’s a dirty shop, but he does good work. Well this was on the case with me. Kon with his broken English will talk over you not allow you to ask any questions when you’re inquiring about the fix that they did on your car. Super rude. The thing is is that we were talking about the same thing he just doesn’t know how to listen or communicate English properly.
Instead he gets confrontational arguing and we’re saying the same bloody thing. If you can’t communicate with someone, then you shouldnt be the one who speaks to the customers. How do you own a shop 30 years and you can hardly speak English. Not only that what but what I asked to be fixed was not completed.
When I asked about this, which took about 15 minutes because he doesn’t understand what the hell you’re saying, he just pushed me off and said you’ll have to bring it back another time. When I dropped the car off to him that it was clear that we were going on a long driving holiday and I needed to make sure that the car was in good working order before taking off for the trip. He didn’t care and said yeah it’s all good, when I said how can it be all good if it’s not completed he just spoken some more broken English and that didn’t make sense. Definitely do not bring your car here. Also, when I initially dropped off the car Kon asked me where I had previously been servicing me my car. When I said S&M auto, which is just up the street from him he continue to bash S&M auto and saying what a horrible company they were and how expensive they were. This should’ve been my first red flag anyone that’s bashing other companies that are on the same street as him are super unprofessional. Do not bring your car to kon! Kon sucks and is a old rude bumbling fool.

I cannot say enough about how kind the people at Kon are. My daughter's Subaru Outback air locked and were showing signs of overheating during a trip to Vancouver from Seattle. Being in Washington, I blindly had her car towed there. The manager went out of his way to accommodate a very last minute inspection so my daughter can make it home the same day. He even taught her how to avoid the issue from happening again and even sent her home with a bottle of water in case something happens on the road. I cannot thank this man enough, he was caring, honest, and kind.

I asked Kon if he could fix one of my car's mirrors. He said he would look for a mirror for my car and call me when he found one.Yesterday, he called me three times and sent a text saying to call him. I was not able to call him yesterday because I was working a long work shift with back to back clients. I also always keep my phone on silent and tucked away in my bag while at work. Today, I called him back, less than 24 hours from his first call to me. Shortly after answering, he began to berate me over the phone for not getting back to him yesterday. I explained to him that I was very busy at work all day yesterday and he said it didn't matter and that I should have texted him back right away. He continued to scold me over the phone until I just decided to just give up and end the call. Calling someone back within 24 hours is perfectly reasonable. I won't be working with Kon anymore after this.
