It's a nice store with some cool items you won't find elsewhere. I would be a little cautious though when they go to the back to retrieve your item as when I asked for bath towels, the ones I wanted were out of stock so they brought out and tried to sell me the larger bath sheet size without telling me. They were $40 more per towel and the wrong size. It would have been better if they told me the size I wanted was out of stock and asked if I wanted the larger size instead of ringing me up hoping I wouldn't notice.

I love this shop and the whole curation, quality, and care they put into the customer experience. There is a matcha incense i particularly love and when I visited in store a few months ago they didn’t have it in stock so the girl who worked there brought out all the other scents they had for me to smell and even lit some up for me. I just placed another online order to replenish the incense and they wrote such a cute note and packaged everything so nicely. Their products aren’t the most affordable but I honestly think it’s very worth the quality and experience :)

Wow! A wonderful place!
What a wonderful shop tucked away near Main Street. I walked in a stranger and left with new friends. I was treated to the warmth you only receive when visiting relatives. They feature the beauty of Japanese artistry blended with modern elements . It seamlessly evokes joy and respect to the quality behind every product.
Whenever I come back to Vancouver, I will make it a point to see Natsumi, Tomoko, Nancy, Juri again
thank you very much

Absolutely lovely store, perfect for presents (you know how hard it is to shop for certain people—but there's such a breadth of interesting items here I'm sure something will appeal). The native Japanese speakers who work here (about half of them) are kind enough to let me practice my skills on them, which I greatly appreciate. Of course, in return I buy things ... from expensive (but worth it) high-end items like $150 metal daikon graters, to much more reasonable collections of incense. It's all beautifully presented, and you know you're getting quality goods direct from incredibly skilled artisans and manufacturers. Especially at a time when individual tourists still can't visit Japan without a guide/chaperone/prison-guard (you can't even eat breakfast in your hotel lobby without the guide's being present!), this shop offers a small taste of being there.
