The place is over priced and poorly run.
The store has gone downhill fast since the new owner took over in November 2023
All the good staff are leaving.
There are very few good staff left.as they have moved on to better jobs
But the owner is very abusive to his staff
When you voice your concerns to the owner Darcy he just doesn’t care. It all about the cash flow.

Generally good assortment of products, and a fairly stocked deli. Kind of annoyed I have to go to Nesters for 2 items they dont stock, but overall, they have most things I go there for (although 1 deli item I go for a lot, they will go through weeks where they dont make enough of them). My only other gripe is prices.... but thats a gripe that pretty much every store has these days..... theirs just seems to be like 5-10% more than others for identical items.

Whoever is running the produce department should be ashamed. How can you put out cilantro and red leaves looking like that. These pictures were taken on Thursday, October 3. But on Saturday, all the veggies looked fresh and clean. Im guessing it depends on who's working in that department that day. Most of the time, it looks fresh.??♂️ only when the asian guy is working. video was taken on Saturday. And the produce looks so much better.And it's always inconsistent. Shelves and tables are always empty. Maybe it's time for management to wake up and see how that department is run. All in all, it's a great store.

In Vancouver on vacation and buying groceries. Walked quite a bit to get there. Trying to use restroom. Asked a couple employees who were pretty rude who told us restrooms closed. One lady just said no m, didn't make eye contact and kept walking. No explanation. Neither eben apologized for the sutuation.How can the store be operational and restrooms closed?

Every time I go to your deli it's like impossible to get Xtra thin ham, turkey or salami.At 5$ for 100gr I should be able to ask for very thin. Most of the time the employees sliced one piece and shake it in from of me. Cannot tell like that. It's usually thicker or the same as pre sliced packages. Come on,you have 2000$ slicers. Once the employee told that she couldn't slice thin. So I said alright shave it. She said she couldn't do it either. That's pretty lame since the thickness is the only thing you can ask. Talk to a manager once about it. He agreed with me. He seemed discourage with the situation. Specialy if you ask for prosciutto. It has to be paper thin.other stores are the same. Safeway, save on foods, name it. Except for few employees in Metrotown super store. Yes superstore deli is way better than yours. That's not a compliment for you. Metrotown that's not far away. There’s a few staff members at this location that are absolutely awful. Some of the most disrespectful women I’ve had to deal with in grocery stores in my life, and I spend a lot of time shopping as I do it for work. Shelley, Annie, and one other woman I don’t know the name of have treated me with disrespect on multiple occasions. They need a lesson on how to handle customers better.

I dont enjoy going to this grocery store. The layout is exceptionally annoying with the escalator in the middle. I am constantly frustrated in this store trying to find normal things all the time. Generally, I give up and go somewhere else. Additionally the prices are not affordable (and I have a good paying job). One redeemable trait is they do have an decent selection of coffees which is better than most grocery stores downtown. They are by no means cheap but there are more to choose from than just starbucks and tim hortons.

By far some on of the best costumer service that I have received in a grocery store. The worker that help us at the cashier, his name was Mark, so thoughtful, friendly and genuine, help us to put our groceries in a way that doesn’t gets ruined. Thank you so much ☺️

It’s easy to shop ~ a very complete supermarket
You can buy cut fruits and many prepared foods
There are also maple leaf cookies and chocolates suitable for gifts.
It’s cheaper than the airport and the location is very convenient~

Love having IGA in the downtown area specially close to work, it’s great that they open until midnight.
When finishing work and hungry, it’s always a great option.
The place is always clean, organized, and all produce all looks fresh .
