The hotel is said to be pet friendly but the night shift Front desk east Asian guy declined my service dog that can stay with me! He needs more training on this rules and regulations! After all the drama, finally my little dog can stay with me!
Other than that the maintenance guy and day shift staff Miale are very nice! Room is OK because it doesn't have an air conditioner and only have a fan! Location is good but there are homeless living on several streets up. You cannot move your car because you will loose your spot right away. The best option is to take a Uber!

Probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in in a VERY long time!! Clean, well put together and some of the nicest people I now know.. will definitely be going back next time I stubble upon Vancouver!!???
Rooms: Beautiful room, tv, coffee machine, hot water, well made beds
Nearby activities: It’s in the middle of the city, about 10mins away from Roger’s arena
Safety: There was a turn lock and a chain lock on the hotel room door
Walkability: It’s in the middle of a city vibe. There is store everywhere!!
Food & drinks: There’s a restaurant just off from the front lobby
Noteworthy details: Pet-Friendly, private parking, across the street from a grocery store and a dollar store.

Hotel was very dirty, I went to use the shower and my feet were sticking to the floor. We booked two rooms both with queens, our room came with a queen but the other came with what seemed like a double bed and when we went to complain about it she told us that it’s probably because the queen in our room had a box spring so it makes it look bigger which isn’t true. The location was nice and the security was a plus because you had to buzz in with your keys. I personally wouldn’t stay here again.

The Hotel at Waldorf while in a fairly decent location and having direct access to transit was overall fairly disappointing. We booked 2 queen rooms and only one of the rooms actually had a queen bed not to mention one of the rooms was only accommodating to a single person. The shower was very dirty and gross, there was holes in the walls and stiff sheets. The bed and sink luckily were clean but I was overall very disappointed with the rooms, however the security of the hotel was a plus. Aswell there was no one at the desk at 11 checkout which makes no sense.

Was a bit hesitant to book here because of the location but it was a wonderful experience! Lovely front desk staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Very secure. The location is just off of the commercial drive neighbourhood and the busses are convenient and it is a very quick and easy uber to downtown. It is the most affordable hotel in the city right now. We will be back!

Historic hotel in downtown area was a nice change from the ordinary. We initially parked in the free parking they offered, but felt it was kind of sketchy. Felt totally safe INSIDE the building, but being outside was a different story. Told the desk person I worried about our vehicle. He told us we could move our truck to a spot that we could see from our window. He also admitted that anything we left in the truck could possibly be stolen, so suggested we bring everything inside for safekeeping. We were on a two week road trip so had a LOT of stuff to remove for our two night stay including a table and chairs in the truck bed, cooler, snack bin, suitcases, and dog crate with pet supplies to name just a few. Our room was on the second floor, but everything had to be hand carried up the curvy flight of stairs, as this old hotel had no elevator. I suggested the staff keep a dollie on hand for future guest use. We appreciated the supervisor helping us carry some of our stuff upstairs cause it was quite a chore. The room was small, but clean with a comfortable bed. We were there on a weeknight so it was relatively quiet, although we heard random sirens throughout the night. The staff was friendly and responsive to any needs we had. Although the hotel was welcoming, I doubt we will be able to stay there again simply because it's not in a very good location.

Worst hotel ever! Do not stay here! There is a club downstairs that is so loud the floor is shaking. I booked this room through Expedia as a non-refundable room. As soon as I booked, I received an email letting me know there MAY be loud music from the club downstairs. There was nothing I could do at that point since I booked through Expedia as non-refundable, so I hoped for the best. The email closer to the date said to request a room away from the noise. When I checked in there was only one room with 2 beds available, which was room #115. At 10pm the loud music started which sounded like a rave with angry thumping music. I've never heard anything so loud. The bass was so loud the whole room was vibrating and shaking and earplugs did NOT help at all. FINALLY the music stopped at 2am. The front staff was polite but they said there was nothing they could do - they were also suffering from the noise and vibration of the loud raging music. The owner of the hotel refused to do anything or offer a refund - even after Expedia contacted the owner. I urge you to pay attention to this review and stay away from this place!

Great location as it has lots of bus routes just outside the door. Reception gentleman was super helpful with lots of local knowledge, and sorted an earlier check in for us after a long flight. Room is simple, clean and comfortable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Walking into the room the bathroom was dirty; shower ceiling, grout, sink drains INCREDIBLY slow to the point that I was brushing my teeth and washing my face over the bath tub. The room only had two hand towels, a bath mat, and no phone in the room either. Fast forward to 4 am, we find a MOUSE in our room which ended up going underneath the door that connects our room to another. The man at the front desk came up to have a look around and we told him where the mouse went, which he then replied “well if it’s gone under there then it’s in the other room so you don’t have to worry about it.” Mind you the hotel is sold out so someone was sleeping in the room it went to and they were never notified. Because of this incident we couldn’t sleep and completely messed up our schedule for activities. The next morning we spoke to a front desk employee and then a manager. The first employee said that since it’s an older building and it being by the ocean that mice are common. The manager later said he’s never seen a mouse in the hotel and when I questioned him on the first employees statement he then changed his answer to “I’ve never seen one in any rooms but I have seen them downstairs.” After a lot of back and forth expressing how unacceptable this is and requesting a refund the manager began getting irritable and unbothered by the situation saying we can only get a refund if we check out of the hotel. (We had 2 nights left and all surrounding hotels were double the price of what we were already paying) Or their other offer was they could move us to the room next door, which is where the mouse ran in. Our rooms were never cleaned by house keeping or given fresh towels unless we asked and the sink was never fixed either. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I will not be returning.

I stayed at this hotel for a week in July 2024. I was worried by the various comments and was very pleasantly surprised. My room was spacious and clean. I was not disturbed by noise or music. The area is just a little past where people use drugs, I didn't feel in danger (a single man). There is a bus on the R5 which makes few stops to go to the city centre, if you are afraid I advise you to take this bus.

This is not a good place for rest. You can hear the loud music from the bar downstairs until 2am. The staff told me it’s written on the booking page but I couldn’t find it even I tried so hard to. He showed me one sentence saying quiet room not guaranteed, but I think such things should be put on an obvious place when booking.
The video is what you hear in the middle of the night. Not to mention drunk strangers knocking fiercely on my door and woke everyone up. We spent 370 dollars for this.

Stayed here 2 nights. Room was fine. Newer flooring & paint. A/C & heater & all bathroom amenities provided. Maids were very helpful & got us extra things we needed. Front desk lady was very helpful. Helped us with dinner coupons at the restaurant & coupons for all our excursions. There were a very few homeless people around. But if you go 6 or so blocks away there was tons of homeless people. Any big city has them. No shock here. I’m from L.A. California so it doesn’t bother me at all.
