There were some issues with our order, and Home on the Range promptly rectified the issue and even compensated for our troubles with a complimentary bone broth soup. This is a local business with integrity and great service. They also support local farmers and carry quality meats. Highly recommended for people looking for holistic meat.

Love this place…the ground beef with heart/liver is great, they accept bitcoin (the biggest reason I come here), however the downside is they are rarely open, they don’t follow their posted hours, and they never answer the phone.

Rarely post bad reviews. I used to shop here semi-regularly last year and always had a good experience with products and service. This year I have been twice and received disappointing service by the same person. About 2 months ago I ordered some items online and went to go pick them up. When I got there they were closed about 3 minutes early. I knocked and she said we are closed, I pointed out the time and she let me in begrudgingly. I picked up my items and she suggested if I was coming to pick something up I should call to let them know. I sort of thought that’s why stores have hours, so that you can go during those hours without calling. But at the time I just figured she was eager to go home and thought nothing of it. This morning when I went I looked around for a few minutes. After bringing my purchase she asked if I wanted to pay by e-transfer or cash. As I don’t bank on my phone or carry cash I was not able to purchase anything. Her disdain in both situations has put me off returning.

Love this spot and how they highlight other local quality food products! Sorry to hear that you're temporarily closed, and also unfortunate that some folks are writing negative reviews based on a closure that is beyond the control of the business.

Look on your website says you’re open till 5 PM. I battle through multiple different traffic lanes and illegal manoeuvres to get a parking spot to come and get something, only to find out that you’re closed when you should be open. Nice job. I won’t be back.

I am not part of your newsletter and until I walk by the store window I don’t see that you’re closed. You should’ve updated Google maps immediately as that is where 80% of customers get information these days about businesses. So IT IS your fault!

Google maps says you’re open today. I drove a long way to visit your store. Turned out you’re closed due to construction I guess.
It’d be appreciated if you could keep your business hours updated on Google.
Or at least leave a number that customers can reach at in these occasions.

I love this place! I frequently shop there and the bone broth is the best I’ve ever had. The beef, chicken and defender(mushroom based) broth are my favourites. I’ve always found the staff to be really helpful in offering suggestions and the owner Alan is really kind and puts so much effort into the quality and variety of the great selection of meats, cheeses, frozen options, broth, etc. I did try to buy some things the other day and found that they were temporarily closed.I hope they are open again soon. Very grateful for their products and will always support !

I love this place! Been a regular for a few months now— top tier beef and broth, funny and friendly staff, and above + beyond communication regarding my orders.Only downside is the drive out fromNorth Van into sometimes-pesky downtown traffic, but it’s WELL worth the trip imo :)Looking forward to many more pickups, especially as we enter summer grilling season.Thanks HOTRO!
