The bags are great! I wouldn’t recommend the waterproof ones with the buckle as my buckle fell off in about a year and it also got scratched easily. With that being said there is a lifetime warranty and the customer service was great when I exchanged it for a brand new bag. It truly is a wonderful product and operation.

Herschel is one of my favorite brands. Every time I buy a beanie, it's said to be guaranteed for lifetime, no matter what! Trusting that, I took two of my loose beanies to their store yesterday and explained the situation to the cashier. He told me that wouldn't be possible but they could help if there was any unraveling. I asked the cashier to dispose of the beanies that were no longer wearable, surprising right! In short, why are you hiding information when making sales or not educating your employees about this? I won't be buying from you again and won't recommend you to anyone else!

I’ve had fantastic experiences shopping at both Robson & Gastown locations. The customer service I’ve received at both locations has been exceptional. There’s one employee in particular I would like to give a high praise & a commendation to, Dina @ Robson location. She is extremely knowledgeable about the Herschel brand & her passion for the products show. My first encounter with Dina I ended up buying luggage & a travel/tech backpack. I wasn’t in the market for one at the time as I was still in the research phase. After listening to her explain & tell me about the Herschel products, I bought because of her. Herschel’s lucky to have Dina on staff as she’s hands down an incredible asset to the company! And since then I’ve amassed a lot of Herschel gear. Thank you Dina!

Had a fantastic experience shopping at this store! The customer service is top-notch and the staff is not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about their products. They aren't about just selling stuff here, they really listen to your needs and help you figure out what works best for you. I couldn't be happier with the Kaslo backpack and Heritage suitcases I got there, and I'll definitely be back for more items.

So impressed with Herschel today, as a company overall and specifically the Robson Street store. After searching the website last night I found a bag (on sale), but wanted to pick it up in person rather than pay $10 for shipping. Plus I hate hanging around at home waiting for deliveries. So I sent a message asking if I could buy online but pick up in person and got a quick response. Even though the answer was no, I couldn't pick up an online purchase in person, I was told the Robson Store (one closest to me) had the bag in stock and I could pick it up there, but to call first to make sure it was available. A link with the phone number was provided, so all I had to do was click on it and I was soon connected with the store. The person who answered was very friendly and helpful, checking the bag's availability and offering to hold it for me. When I went into the store I was quickly greeted by Connor who couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. He found the bag I'd ordered but it turned out to be not perfect for me, so he patiently showed me several others that were similar in style and price, explaining the different features of each bag. I felt I had the chance to consider which would really work for me and never felt pressured to buy.Another thing, since the bags varied in price, with some on sale at different percentages off, I was not pushed toward the pricier bags. In fact, the one I ended up buying was $98 at 50% off, so only paid $48.99! What a deal for a Herschel bag! I am a senior and, more often than not, completely ignored when I go into stores. It happens again and again, and the same thing happens to other older people I know, so it's not me imagining it. It's a shocking shame but the older you get the more invisible you become. I have gone into shops with the intention of buying and spending a nice few dollars, only to be treated like I don't exist or am not worth bothering with. Then some young person comes in behind me and the staff fall all over themselves saying hello and offering help. Well to hell with that! I just go find somewhere else to spend my money. I am very grateful to Connor, and told him so, that he did not ignore me and treated me like a welcome and valued customer. Herschel is a B.C. company and they make outstanding products and give excellent warranties. Why on earth are you buying backpacks, wallets, totes, luggage or accessories anywhere else? Herschel Supply Co. gets a big, fat 10/10 from me!

Packs have clean lines and design with not too many frills and are functional. They generally look good and I use them for professional reasons. I am not totally convinced as to the long term durability of their products and considering the price paid. I got a travel pack where zipper was faulty after 3 years (split with use). I went thru their 'warranty review' online which was a bit mystifying (case closed without providing me with further info despite legit claim- granted zippers may not last forever but still at least 5 years!). The staff at this store (Conor Doyle in particular) were super helpful and speedy to deal with issue and help me bring it to fruition almost immediately. Conclusion, great/well trained staff who are helpful, but do expect these packs to last you 3-4 years and then may be breakdown (zipper/handles) if you use your backpacks daily, like I do, and then you may need to submit a warranty review. The Warranty review process was reasonable in handling the claim and providing a gift card (granted you have legit grounds for a claim), but you may need to got thru the live chat/in store staff to deal with some of the kinks if your claim or if they 'close' the claim without explanation.

Supposedly fixed problems with their backpacks. Staff adamant that they were because 'that's what they've been told'. Same problem, no refund, except for an instore credit so you can buy more of their half built products. yay !
