The commercial drive Vancouver location is such a joke. I dropped off taxes to be done on Monday afternoon. By Thursday after zero contact I called and asked if they were done, lady said she’s call me back after she looked into it. No call. I call back Friday and they hadn’t even started them. This is after tax season. 2.5 weeks later and 2 calls to the corporate head office and still nothing. Unbelievable. The guy that was supposed to do them goes on vacation and doesn’t give them to co worker to complete. I will never use H&R block again.

A year ago I would’ve given 5 stars for how easy using this service was - but I returned this year to be met with someone so incompetent they had to ask me how to spell transaction after I told them they had spelt it wrong. It took upwards of 30 minutes for them to figure out the numbers I was giving them were in fact accurate, when they kept telling me “things aren’t adding up”. I repeatedly asked for them to clarify what was wrong and all I got was “it’s not adding up”. When asking about claiming accounting charges, it was “you can try” - not very professional or knowledgeable in my opinion when I’m paying $400 for my return. I had to double check all of the math and correct ALL of it, so by the end when I was told that I owed $1600 PLUS the $400 they wanted for wasting an hour of my time there was no way I trusted that. Maybe it’s true, we will see, but after the multiple mistakes my trust in their services is completely shattered.

I recently had my taxes done at H&R Block with Saeid, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Saeid was incredibly professional and truly cared about my individual situation. He did an exceptional job and went above and beyond to ensure everything was done accurately and efficiently. I highly recommend Saeid and H&R Block to anyone in need of tax assistance. Don’t bother coming to this branch. The two stars are only because they were nice to my face even though they just wouldn’t do anything to see me.I made an appointment for March 18 at noon, when I got there the receptionist said they couldn’t find me in their system even though I had emails from the day before reminding me of the appointment. They said they couldn’t see me then, so they made an appointment for the next day, March 19 at 6 PM.I got there 10 minutes early and they told me to wait. Two guys were there before me, the second of the two was seen until 6:40, he said he’d been there for about an hour and forty minutes. During this time they kept coming to me asking for my name and what was I doing there.Then, at 6:50 a guy came that had an appointment at 7. They took him in telling me to wait until after they were done with him because they wouldn’t find me in their own system, even after the day before one of them scheduled me at their reception desk.By 7:30 they were nowhere close to finishing so I left.So yeah, don’t bother.TLDR; Be sure that you have time to waste because I had two different appointments and they didn’t see me. For the second one had me close to two hours waiting and still nothing.

Do not come here to do your taxes. They completely wasted my time and it was not worth the money I paid. The process was unclear, the payment was unclear, and the wait time was ridiculous. I came here on March 6th to do my taxes, for some reason instead of just paying for my tax return via direct deposit they made me go through CRA and now I have to wait a month to receive my return. They also made the direct deposit to a completely different debit card then my bank and forgot to give it to me? That’s the most important part as that’s where my tax return is going. When I returned completely confused on why I haven’t received my money, why they choose to go through CRA instead of just letting me pay, they told me they had no clue. This was obviously unhelpful. Then, they said they would be able to give me the card directly that day. (March 11th) after waiting 15 minutes, the front desk person says they are unable to give it to me because the “system is down” instead of informing me they person who helped me with my taxes can only do it. They asked me to return for the 3RD TIME within that ONE week. After waiting a day, they do not call me to get my card. The 2nd day, I call them and they haven’t even set it up, after reassuring me it would be done. Obviously they had forgotten about it, if they wanted to give me good experience there they would’ve made it a priority as it was their mistake to begin with. Now it is March 13th, and I still haven’t gotten any information or the card they were supposed to set up. This is ridiculous.Trust me when I say don’t waste your time here, they are completely unhelpful and will only stress you out. Doing your taxes is already a stressful time, you will only further be frustrated if you come here.
