“I stop in Vancouver for a few days, they let me in like I was part of the family, really good workouts and fun to, also the staff and coaches were great giving tip because I had to adapt a few movements, definitely coming back next time I'm in Vancouver”

Thank you guys, I carry you in my heart. 5:30 AM CLASS I <3 U”
“I usually go to the Gastown as it’s closer to where I live. I went to the Mount Pleasant location for access to classes. Studio is really nice has a waiting area, lots of pole merch in stock and even a pole in the waiting area (so cool). I take pole classes and found this location to be on par with Gastown which is a 10/10. Great instructors, they often teach at multiple locations so it was nice to see familiar faces. Instructors are incredible at Tantra, really skilled and each have their unique teaching style. There is so much to learn from these folks. I was really nervous starting and I still get nervous when I start a new level, or go to a new location. But I have always felt welcome and at easy once we start. I have fallen in love with pole. It’s great exercise, pushes my body in new ways and the tricks are fun to learn and really pretty! They have an app to make booking and exploring classes super easy and there’s so many fun classes to check out. Highly recommend Tantra!”
“Lagree West has quickly become my favourite workout studio! All the instructors & staff are super friendly, the workouts are always challenging (in the best way) and the energy is amazing!”

1352 Kingsway, Vancouver“I booked a private coaching session with Gabe to work on my squat. For years, I was discouraged at the gym because I couldn't make any progress with my squat, and as a last resort, I decide to seek some professional help to see if it could be fixed.During my two sessions Gabe had me working on warming up properly, and he had me perform exercises to fix my stability issues/imbalances among other things. At the end of my second session, Gabe had me squatting more than I ever had in my life. I'm now at a point where I look forward to my upcoming gym sessions so I can continue to squat more; something I used to dread in the past.I Highly recommend Loaded Athletics if you are serious about learning how to lift properly and efficiently. Working with the trainers here is an investment that is well worth it. You will not regret it!”
6AM - 7PM
3313 W Broadway, Vancouver“Been coming here since 2017 but I train with a different trainer, the facility is very clean, has all the equipment and it's organized very well. all the staff members are very friendly and approachable too .”
“Wanted to restart gym after covid, but the community gym was still down for renovations, so I signed up for this location. I like the flexibility of 24x7 availability, and prefer later times anyways, no need to rush or watch the clock. Haven't gone back to the community centre, even though it's vastly cheaper.
The busy times here vary day to day greatly. Some days 7pm is empty, others it's the busy time. After 10-10:30pm nearly always fine. When it's busy there is a wait for some stations, so you may need to change up your routine. For the size, there is a decent range of weight machines, but not anything too specialized. I think between the machines, freeweights, cable machines (several of those now) and racks and benches, you can improvise anything you need. There is a row of treadmills/stairs/etc, which are surprisingly lightly used (when I'm there), one rowing machine, a couple of stationary bikes, 2 spin bikes, 1 recumbent. 4 full racks, 1 smith rack, 1 curl station. No bench presses, so people will use benches at the rack to bench press, which is very frustrating as they can easily tie up 2-4 pieces of equipment for 1 hour+. People never stick to time limits, no matter how busy it is. There are 3 incline benches, but they're often used at the rack for bench press. So when it's very busy, it can get dicey, but I am always able to get my workout in without more than 10 minute delay.
Machines are generally in good repair, and get fixed quickly. Everything is clean, but the AC vents often drip and the bathrooms don't have fans(?) that I can hear, so that's weird. There are no changing rooms, just a row of 5 or 6 individual bathrooms, 2 with showers.
The crowd during off-times is pretty chill. No influencer types, and nobody's filming. I've been a couple of times during busy times, and it's definitely more hopping.
All in all, the 24x7 aspect is the selling point for me, but if finances get tight, it's probably the first thing to go.”
“Love this boutique studio! Classes and instructors are the best of the best ! They are the pioneers of personalized training and spinning. And still cutting edge to this day. ❤️❤️❤️”
5:30AM - 7:30PM
909 W Broadway, Vancouver“You should try GymBox if you haven't already. I've tried different fitness clubs for group classes, ranging from Fitness World to Orange Theory, but the atmosphere at GymBox is unlike any other. People there are down to earth, friendly, and helpful, not to mention, the membership is affordable in comparison to other brands.Coaches are experienced trainers.Coach Tylor Hill is knowledgeable. She rarely repeats any exercise and makes sure that you perform well and that your posture is always in proper form to avoid injuries, which I believe is very important. Her exercises target every muscle group, and you will notice a difference in your shape in just a few weeks.Coach Ali Al-ethawy is enthusiastic and eager to push you to your limits. He attends to the needs of each member of the class and ensures that your level of fitness keeps improving over time. His Athletic Performance class is a killer. He always smiles and has the same upbeat outlook as the other coaches.”
“My experience at Collective Fitness was amazing! I was staying in Vancouver for 4-months for work, and I was able to continue my cross-fit training through their gym. The coaches were very welcoming and knowledgeable, and their training programs were excellent.”
5:45AM - 8PM
865 Hornby St Unit 202, Vancouver“Did a class called Lift through ClassPass here and loved it!
The studio is very spacious and has lots of different rooms with different equipment. There is water (on tap) + reusable water bottles to grab if you don’t have your own. There are towels available too.
The class was a max effort training and conditioning class. The instructor was knowledgeable and helped with picking the weights to make sure you are working hard but not too hard. The conditioning part was pretty good too.
Overall it was a great experience.”

6AM - 7PM
2970 W Broadway, Vancouver“In my 20+ years of working out in gyms across the world, Citizen takes the biscuit.Firstly, I never thought I would enjoy a workout class. I was a straight up skeptic, having always been a solo weight-slinger. I was wrong! The workouts are varied, challenging and intentional. The cognitive burden of working out has evaporated. All I have to do is show up.After 6 months, I've seen a huge transformation and feel stronger than ever. That's saying something as I've played sports at a high level for years. The attention to legs, mid-section and core have paid dividends. What makes this gym really special, is the kindness of all the coaches, starting with EJ and Erin. It is contagious and has fostered a really supportive and friendly community. If that's not your thing, you can totally put your head down and workout though.See you in class!”
5:15AM - 7:45PM
1160 Davie St #105, Vancouver“OTF has been the only exercise program/gym membership that I've been able to sustain. In the past, I would just end up donating money to my old gym and not going. I feel welcomed when I go and even though I was so anxious about starting, once I finished my first session, I never felt intimidated like I do at regular gyms.”
“Love it so much! I basically go every single day!
Staffs are so friendly and fun to talk to! Personal trainers are really professional and friendly to teach you things there!
The advisor is always really helpful and I’m highly recommend Aiden as he’s supper helpful and knowledgeable about equinox benefits and fun activities!
Loving the place wayyy too much!
It’s not gym, it’s life!”
5:45AM - 9:15PM
535 Hornby St, Vancouver“Shout out to the best Fitness Centre team in town!
I became a member almost three years ago and I highly recommend their membership. It covers the gym, all classes, well-being education, and access to the pool, steam sauna, and hot tub. When I first joined, the instructors were friendly and made sure I felt welcomed.
At the reception, I usually interacted with Leslie, Danielle, and Cody, who were always helpful. My favorite classes were with Johanna, Jenna, and Sandy. They consistently brought great energy and passion to each session and knew the regulars by name. Thank you, ladies, for making us fitter!
I also enjoyed classes with Hamid, who filled in for some of the sessions I attended last year.”
5:30AM - 11PM
1522 Commercial Dr, Vancouver“I’ve been going to Spartacus Gym for the past 10 years. The equipment is always in top shape, and they keep the place clean and organized. Over the years, they’ve maintained a great variety of machines and free weights, making it easy to switch up my routine. Plus, the pricing has always been incredibly fair for what you get. It’s just a solid, reliable gym that’s helped me stay on track with my fitness goals for a decade!”
“I did a drop in at this gym. Writing this review for any ladies who do Olympic lifting - this gym does have 15kg olympic barbells (Rogue), you just have to go to the office area to ask for it because they don’t leave it out. They also have Eleiko plates and clips. There’s 2 Olympic platforms and 2 deadlifting platforms which is quite little for how busy it is. Other than that this gym is fine.”
“I like to commend Bahar for her help this morning. She followed up and resolved the problem my husband had in booking next Tuesday pickleball in a timely manner. Thank you very much Bahar!
Evelyn at the front desk is knowledgeable, helpful and always greets the Y members with a smile even on days when the front desk is short staff. She is proactive and extremely hard working. She goes above and beyond in many occasions during my visits. She deserves 10 stars. My visits at the Y are guaranteed a pleasant one when she is there! Thank you Evelyn!
Irvin Leeson, the Y Langara Volunteer Pickleball Coordinator deserves to be commended. He is the reason why my husband and I picked up the sport. Irvin welcomes all new pb players and spent countless hours teaching us the basics and make sure that we know all the safety rules. He generously gave up his court play time and coach the newcomers. The Y should thank him for bringing in all these new members. Irvin always puts the well-being of the community first with zero intention of any personal gain. Irvin, we appreciate your generosity, dedication and selfless contribution.
Cheryl Tautorus, our Y ‘Gentle Strength’ Volunteer Instructor of many years, needs to be recognized. She volunteers twice a week to teach us. She shows up every scheduled class, rain or shine or snow. Recently when we had the snow storm, she couldn’t drive to the Y due to dangerous road conditions. She took the public transit to the Y to teach our 8am class. There is no better example than this to demonstrate her dedication to our physical health, so THANK YOU Cheryl ❤️”
“I'm a rookie at F45 and the coaches at this location have made the workouts so enjoyable despite my injury!! Love the energy and everyone is so ready to help and push one another! Please do not get intimidated by the exercises and I highly encourage everyone to try a session! You'll come out feeling so damn energized! ?”
