I did a drop in at this gym. Writing this review for any ladies who do Olympic lifting - this gym does have 15kg olympic barbells (Rogue), you just have to go to the office area to ask for it because they don’t leave it out. They also have Eleiko plates and clips. There’s 2 Olympic platforms and 2 deadlifting platforms which is quite little for how busy it is. Other than that this gym is fine.

Love this gym and the personal trainers are great! Amir is an excellent personal trainer. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made under his supervision. He knows how to push your body properly without damaging it and if you’re having an issue with a muscle group that day is quick to switch to different exercises that stretch out the area while building on the supportive muscles. He keeps me motivated to do better by providing a fun environment where you can see the results of the work you put in. I’d definitely recommend him if you’re looking for a PT

I'm enjoying my time at this gym, and the trainers are the highlight of the experience for me. Amir has been my trainer for a while now, and my experience with him has been stellar! He really understands my goals and abilities, he is very friendly and reliable, and I leave every one of our sessions feeling like I've made noticeable improvement. I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their fitness.

Excellent gym with quality facilities and friendly staff. My bag was misplaced with very important documents in the gym and the staff especially Evan went above and beyond to help me find it !

Very frustrating experience. I saw the sign in the front advertising for a free day pass for new members so I went through the process of registration. Afterwards I went in and spoke to the front desk and had to go through a bit more process for registration (some are repetitive with what I did before but okay). After all that process I was told that I was good to go and had a staff give me a tour. Well the staff who was my tour guide told me that I didn’t actually qualify for a free day pass and tried to SELL me a day pass instead. His reason was because I lived too far away from the gym which I literally explained to the front desk during the registration and the front desk staff said it was okay.Very misleading promotion a lot of time was wasted. It would be nice if they were upfront with everything. Needless to say that I will not be returning.

I cancelled my membership 6 years ago because I moved away and was never told I had a balance remaining. Instead of calling or emailing to let me know of this outstanding balance they sent it straight to collections to have my credit rating torched. Member support has been ignoring my emails and phone calls. Horrible customer service, I would not recommend.

In 2016 Gold's Gym new location in Port Coquitlam was opening. My friend and I went to check it out. We asked if they would have tanning beds and the "liar" told us, "yes." So, we signed up 2016 09 14! Are there tanning beds yet? I sent an e-mail on Sept 17th 2018 and advised them not to renew my membership. I received an email that my membership has been canceled. On Dec. 07th 2020 I received a letter from a collection company stating I owed $296.40 (no other emails or letters or phone calls in 2 years) I immediately contacted Gold's Gym and the lady I spoke with said I had an outstanding balance of $150.00. WHAT? I then contacted the collection company and they put a ticket of stay on the account and advised me to NOT contact the gym again. It was close to Christmas and COVID and no one returned my constant calling. I was monitoring my credit and there it was. I contacted TransUnion, Equifax, Experian, Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection. Due to COVID I was getting nowhere. I refused to pay it to the collection company so there it sits. On Monday 2023 10 11 at 9:43 pm I get an email that from Gold's Gym that I owe $296.40 and to respond within 24 hours or it will go to collections. WHAT? I called the gym (number provided by them 778-285-4653). What a joke! The girl I spoke with told me they do not have access to the billing departments phone number and we cannot provide you with a phone number to contact anyone. You can send an email. I was ANGRY!!! I sent 2 emails and wouldn't you know it.....no response. Now I am fueled with spite, anger and determination to have this company investigated for FRAUD! This time I will NOT give up. Picture attached, my credit account and emails. I believe every complaint against this company. 8 YEARS!!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

Staff are very approachable; gym cleanliness is well-maintained. Space is enough to do your workouts, never felt like it's cramped even on busy hours.

Overall this is a great gym. New machines and nice equipment. I even tried some personal training. The main issue with this location is it’s too small. I go in the morning to avoid the crowds and even then I have to wait to use the equipment.

Where do I begin? If you thought nothing was run worse than Fitness World, you’d be mistaken! From the cave like setting to the out of shape trainers, avoid this place like the plague.The management and staff are the most unprofessional team I have ever interacted with, and I worked for FW!This is not a gym for people who take fitness seriously. This Golds is nothing more than a hotel gym with far too much branding. You want some pinner pipsqueak for a ‘Sales Manager’ breathing down your neck after everything you do, join this gym! Maybe if he worked out as much as he did sitting around he’d actually be in shape. It’s hard to respect the manager of a gym when he obviously does not take care of himself.And to top it off I was told that there is no way to speak to anyone in management as customer service is not there concern.Do yourself a favour, join any other gym than this one.

The quality of the gym is ok but the service needs tremendous work!My wife and I tried cancelling our membership as we are moving to Europe. We gave the necessary proof of moving in regards to the cancellation policy but they charged an extra $300 to my credit card and stopped replying to my emails when I asked why I was charged this.I guess since we’re moving they think I wouldn’t pursue this in the local court system. Very sketchy business practice! Be aware!

Intimidating. As a woman, I like to lift heavy the area set up for lifting heavy, was intimidating full of men, and felt like women wasn’t welcome. I found myself going from one end of the gym to the other to do my exercises I couldn’t consistently do two sets in a row because of the way the gym was laid out in the area with heavy lifting, and kettlebell swings were on two separate sides of the gym.

Nice equipment, but it’s annoying when there’s no paper towel in the dispensers or soap in the bathroom at the very beginning of the day. Didn’t the gym just open?Also, I don’t like seeing the pride flag on display. I come here to workout, not be constantly reminded of your political views.
