I had a watch band resized and a battery replaced here. The initial service was great, both the woman and her (husband?) were super friendly and helpful. It turned out there was an additional (legitimate) problem with the watch that needed a repair.
I happily paid for the band resizing on the spot and gave them about a 30% tip. I was quoted $60 for the watch repair which I was fine with. Thankfully I had her write down the price on my repair ticket in her own handwriting.
They called me to say the watch was ready for pickup. When I went, the lady seemed weirdly standoffish with me, which I didn't really understand. She got the watch and the price had magically turned into $75. I am glad I had her write the original quote on the ticket in her writing, so I still only paid $60. But the whole interaction was unnecessarily tense on the return visit. I was completely content going in there but she just seemed annoyed.
One time is no big deal, but I noticed a few other reviews talking about misquoted prices. If you go here, make sure you get your quotes in clear writing somehow.
Also, service could just be less... confrontational. I don't know why it had to be like that on the second visit. Just chill out and be friendly with people.
In the end they did the two jobs for the price quoted and the repaired watch seems to be working fine. Would probably go back for simple jobs.

A simple battery change for a watch turned into 3 returning visits because issues kept coming up with my watch. First time I had humidity gathering up, left it there, came back a day after, got home, humidity again, left it there again, picked it up a day after, going to the gym and I see that my stopper is not aligned and instead of starting at 0 it starts at 30 and goes back to there when reset. I went back, the lady there insisted it's not their fault and when they replace a battery they don't touch it. Which makes sense, but what doesn't make sense is to have so many issues with a simple battery change. I have this Seiko watch for 7 years and never had a single issue with it. She did offer that I come back when the repairman is there for him to see but today, two days after, and 3 weeks after this saga began, the battery ran out again. Usually a battery lasts for around a year and half for me.
I highly suggest you don't go there for a battery change.
At this point I decided to stop wasting my time and find another place that knows how to handle watches, rather than them ruining my watch even more
Edit: I just took the watch to another place and there was in fact an issue with the watch so I gotta take that back, they didn't mess up my watch, it was just old and started malfunctioning.
The service definitely needs to improve, as I did go there like 3 times just to still have humidity inside the watch.

I took a watch to get resized here, and they completely messed up the clasp. They gave it back to me with glue on it, and when I asked them to remove it, they used nail polish remover. This completely ruined the clasp, turning it brown and leaving it very scratched. They took it back to polish but it did absolutely nothing. I recommend going literally anywhere else.

I really loved going into a (clearly) family-owned and friendly shop to get my mother's old watch repaired. I immediately had the sense that they were honest, would care for it (not send it away), and do a good job. My impression was correct in all of that, plus they were quick, communicative and very reasonably priced. Thanks so much! :)

I brought an old Pulsar LED display watch in to have the batteries changed and was told by the lady that she put new batteries in but the watch does is broken. She told me that they have a 30 year veteran watch repair fellow coming in on Friday or Saturday that will look at it. When I came in to pick it up I was told that they couldn't get the watch to work and parts are no longer available. The fellow went on to say that it may be possible to put a new mechanism in the existing housing and the price would be between $150-$175. I declined, gave it back to my brother to take a look at. He sent me a picture showing that they watch works great after he put the new batteries in. he said that the jeweller had inserted the batteries incorrectly. Either the the lady that changed the batteries and the veteran watch repair fellow are incompetent or they just were looking for an easy mark. Be aware

I’ve been visiting here for years to have batteries changed and chains repaired, I thought an East Indian couple used to own it, I always got good service from them. During my most recent visits this week there was a new fellow helping customers who appears to be the owner now. He’s super helpful and very pleasant and professional, he swapped out multiple batteries in no time flat and even set the correct date and time for me. Price was reasonable too. I’ll definitely be back.

I’m extremely disappointed by this place… I had dropped my two chains off a week ago to get fixed (links were broken/popped chain), unannounced to me they welded one of my chains together, changing the colour of the gold giving it a rose gold complexion. I paid without giving a full examination of what they had done only to see in the sunlight that they messed up. The service was nice so I trusted this place, but now I’m left feeling upset, disappointed and gutted at the work they needed a week to fix. My advice to you if you ever go to the place, just ask a lot of questions… I.e what will you be doing ? What’s the cost of this procedure? Why does it need a week?
