One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! Nice clean rooms and bathrooms. Lots of amenities offered in the room too. Hotel itself was in a great area with a variety of shops and restaurants to check out in the Vancouver Financial District! It’s also only 20 minutes walking away from the Rog too for you Canucks fans! Fitness room and pool were also very nice with lots of room to exercise and several pieces of equipment. However, the room I stayed in with two beds was a little tight around the corners and not enough towels or toilet paper were provided. Great hotel nonetheless and if you’re travelling in the Vancouver area I can’t recommend the Fairmont enough!

The hotel is in the middle of everything you want to see in downtown Vancouver (or a short walk away). The building itself is historical and beautiful. The views are nice. There are chandeliers and gold elevator doors. The restaurant/ bar is fancy.
It has comfortable, modern rooms. Nice robes to use while you are there. Safest in the rooms. No fridge. The keys are modern key cards, but are made of wood. Everything has an upscale flourish to it.

Fairmont stands for luxury but also for very old hotels. I didn't like the design of the rooms too much as it appeared rather old and also had an older carpet. The bathroom was tiny, and as there was only a small window in the room, it appeared very dark. The service was very friendly and checkin and out as all well as the bellman was very good.
Rooms: For me, the design was a little aged and the super tiny bathroom didn't allow too much dancing around. Also unfortunately due to only one window it is rather dark in the room

This is my favourite hotel to stay in when I visit Vancouver. The service is outstanding and the staff are kind and accommodating. Notch 8 and the brunch buffet are also highlights for me!

Notch8 - our new go-to spot in Vancouver!
Food & drinks: Notch8 was fantastic! From the professional and authentic service (a rare combination these days) to the food - everything was exceptional. The cocktails are outstanding (and we tried quite a few of them)! The bartenders are engaging, always happy, very knowledgeable and always take their time to explain every detail and answer any questions even when they’re really busy.
We will definitely make Notch8 our new go to spot in Vancouver!
Live music was on point as well!
In room dining was very friendly and knowledgeable as well and always gave the right recommendations and alternative suggestions.

Nice staff but small, dated room with bad beds and old sheets. The lobby and hotel building are nice (historic/iconic), but we had trouble sleeping even with white noise on due to the exterior noise and interior noise from other room.
Overall though, it is still a good Fairmont property, but I would choose to stay at the Fairmont Waterfront or Pacific Rim next time.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairmont for 1 night to celebrate my birthday. This was the first time I had ever splurged on a luxury hotel and I was extremely disappointed. I saw on the website that the hotel offered free parking for BC/AB residents but when I asked about it at the front desk, they told me I wasn’t eligible. Disappointing. But the worst part about our stay was the lack of care and attention taken in our hotel room. There was someone else’s leftovers in our mini fridge. Leftover food! Take out and snacks. Disgusting. It made me really question how clean the room was when it was clear they were missing such obvious things. When we told the front desk, they barely acknowledged it. Additionally, the room service form was already filled out so we couldn’t order breakfast. For a hotel that cost $800 a night, you would think more care and attention would be put into the small details. Very disappointing and I will not be back, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.

While we were not guests staying in this hotel, we did go to the high tea with Emily Carr event. Everything about that experience was fantastic! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was dynamic, and the service was top-notch. I definitely would recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Vancouver.

My family stayed here in November 2023. We had an amazing stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The pool area was well kept and fun. Breakfast in the restaurant was great! Lots of choices and my latte came with foam art! Supper in the restaurant was incredible, delicious and excellent service. Dessert was amazing! My daughter and I attended the afternoon tea and it was such an experience, waitress was incredible, food was incredible, and the decorations & atmosphere was delightful! The scavenger hunt the hotel provided for kids was so fun and my daughter couldn't wait to find all the items. Especially the dogs! Great place to stay in Vancouver!
Food & drinks: We had breakfast, supper and the afternoon tea at the hotel. All were incredible. Great service, great food, great drinks. Wonderful experience all around!

Amazing property with amazing staff and food! Breakfast and supper were amazing at the restaurant, and my wife and daughter loved the afternoon tea. Staff went above and beyond, especially when dealing with my 9 year old daughter which made the stay memorable.
Also the location is great for exploring downtown Vancouver.

I am so incredibly thankful to our thoughtful and kind concierge Katie. Our son received his “critter” when we stayed at the Banff Fairmont 9 years ago. He has wanted another one forever (yes even at 11 years old). He begged to be at the Fairmont in Vancouver for just this reason. I spoke to Katie and explained the story and showed her the pictures of R and Critter growing up together… including school picture days. She said that their hotel no longer carried that stuffed animal but she would see what she could do. She went through a ton of effort and time to track this one down. He teared up when she handed it to him. She and Vancouver Fairmont will NEVER know how much this small gesture meant to our Texas Family and son. Thank you from all of us and his new buddy “ollie”.
