Even tho its in the ghetto its still a cool, clean bar. If u just wan a come by with a friend or too and drink i recommend if u dont mind the environment its in.

This is a lower echelon bar. Only one type of draft and limited hard bar. Bottle beer, coolers and cider. Same old bar...The area has really deteriorated, safety outside of the bar is a concern!.The Empress Hotel was sold to BC Housing!! So it will probably be deteriorating even further from now on.
Wheelchair accessibility: Fairly easy to get in.

It's not the same anymore ,,,Used to be jam packed with regular patrons ,,,& the atmosphere was filled with fun ,& Dancing to tunes on the Juke Box , although a few of the same ppl do show up once in awhile ,If the mood strikes them ,,being a former employee myself ,I do miss my regular patrons ,Some of which have passes on ,!

Awesome dive bar to go and cry away your sorrows and the bar has a real cool lady bartender. I don’t know her name but she has tattoos and is cool and kind. My extra star is a star for her because she is the only star there

Many times I go here to play lotto but sometimes one waitress tells me that she doesn't even have to cash the lotto ticket and I have to buy a drinker leave and I find that extremely rude considering that if you have lotto in your business you should be able to cash a ticket regardless of whether or not I buy a drink especially when the ticket I was cashing was a poker lotto and I cannot cash those at all places I can usually only cash those at bars. I never have a problem with any other bartender as for the atmosphere actually pretty chill considering it's east hastings everyone customer wise is generally warm and welcoming. It was quite a surprise and I'll go there again for lotto and maybe a drink sometime

Covid19 restrictions have been relaxed. This is an okay seedy dive bar with reasonable prices and a jukebox. Washrooms. Street parking. Located in the DTES near Main and Hastings.
