Took my car there for a 60.000 km service and they returned it with a fault on the liftgate it did not have. When calling, some assistant was rude on the phone deniying any responsibility and warning ahead of seeing the car, just over the phone when booking an appointment, that I would need to pay if I want them to fix it.

Be wary of this place I bought my 2010 wrx from here. This complaint is very delayed as I have been too busy to write this out.
I bought my Subaru early this year 97k was my first manual car as you could imagine I wasn't too familiar with the sounds it makes. Straight off the lot when I was practicing at home I noticed a jerky noise when making turns at slow speeds. I didn't think too much off it (usually happens after longer drives). Thought it was odd went to a mechanic specialized in subaurs to get it checked out not even 5 mins into the test he diagnosed it as a center diff issue.
Well I got it fixed and 2.5k later here I am writing this to warn you of this place. Be careful when purchasing any vehicles from here.
PS I love my WRX though but the lack of transparency when selling a vehicle with a destroyed center diff and almost torn lower control arm bushings says a lot about the establishment.

I recently had my Subaru in for a B service at Don Docksteader Subaru, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, the staff was friendly and professional, making sure I knew exactly what was included in the service and providing a clear estimate upfront. They took the time to answer my questions, and I never felt like they were trying to push any unnecessary repairs.
What really stood out was the extra care they put into the details. Not only did they finish the service on time, but they also gave my car a complimentary wash and vacuum, which was a nice bonus! It made my car feel great, inside and out.
The whole process was seamless, and I left feeling confident that my car was in good hands. I’ll definitely be bringing my Subaru back here for future services. Highly recommend Don Docksteader Subaru for anyone looking for honest, reliable service with those thoughtful extras!

Both the sales and service can't be trusted. Seriously - do not trust these people further than you can see them. It seems amazing at first; warm, friendly, etc... but the more experience I've had with them, the clearer it has become that they are interested simply in bilking you out of as much money as possible. If you choose to deal with them at all (you should not - go to an honest dealer/mechanic instead) make sure you get every single thing they say in writing, because any verbal promise made to you will be walked back. They simply bank on it being too much trouble for you to fight them on their false promises. Do not trust any assessment by their service department, especially when being told that you need to do expensive repairs. BUYER BEWARE.

I went in to DDS to just sit in the forrester and crosstrek, to see if they fit my body as I was having trouble finding a vehicle where my head wasn't touching the roof. I was looking for a used vehicle.
Then I met Pete and the Forrester and wow. Perfect choice, they had a couple in stock and it was just like my old CRV - head room, large windows, wider door opening.
I really appreciate Pete - no hard sell, no up selling and so generous with his time especially answering all my many questions - my previous CRV was a 2001 so all the features on this 2020 were a bit overwhelming.
Tim is finance was also wonderful and so patient explaining all the options.
Fabulous customer service. Pete you are so easy to work with.

My thoughts are that the customer should not have to pay for correcting faults in vehicles that could not have been determined at the time of purchase - especially something as simple as headlight aim adjustment. The dealer suggests the car (a 2020 Outback) is within specifications. However, the internet reveals than any of these models manufactured between Oct 2019 and Jan 2020 have the headlights aimed too high. It's a rather simple fix but the service department suggested that customization of the car must be billed. Fortunately, the web shows how to adjust the headlights - takes about 5 minutes.

Looked after my warranty issues. Car is normally in Kamloops with no local dealer but service kept up with local garage.
Needed rear wheel bearings changed ,they said wheel alignment was extra,,but they covered it anyway when I went to pick up.
