They did a firmware transfer and I was able to retrieve my years of photos of my kids and dogs. I had written off getting this back but my raptor fired right up when i put the new board on. Thanks!

I have used DataPro Data Recovery Lab two times and have had great results using the drive replacement circuit boards. The most recent project was a defective circuit board on a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB drive. My desktop computer would not turn on and the cause was the drive circuit board that caused an issue with the power supply. Using my USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE powered cable, the issue definitely pointed to the board. I sent it to DataPro and the replacement was an exact match and the drive started to spin! Fortunately the spindles and actuator were intact to allow me to copy all of the data from the drive. When you're in a bind, I definitely recommend DataPro Data Recovery Lab.

This is the second time I've had to successfully use DataPro. Last year I sent in a 2T WD drive controller board which got fried by a tech screwing up the power connection. Replacing the board brought the drive right back up.Last week I had 3 drives go down due to a power transient doing something to the 1T WD disk drives. All local diagnostics indicated that the drives themselves had failed. Sent all three boards in and getting the replacements back in a week. Replacing the boards brought all three drives back up and now the workstation reboots and checks out fine.While there are some conditions where this technique may not work, especially if the reason for the drive going down was because of hostile malware, it did work for the cases I had.

Found this guy through his youtube videos showing how to fix hard drives. I had an 8tb hard drive that shorted out due to a bad cable. After I sent him the board, he fixed it, and shipped it back for $50 + tax / shipping. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have my hard drive back and working properly.I STRONGLY recommend this as a hard drive repair solution.

I fried the board on my Synology NAS drive after plugging in the wrong power supply. Removed and mailed the pcb board from the drive to DataPro and they shipped me a new one with the old firmware chip soldered on to it. Reattached the board to my NAS drive and it works again! Don't be fooled by the aging website, Jason provides great customer service!
