I reached out to Coal Harbour Pharmacy to inquire about a discontinued product called Tran-Q by Metagenics. The product has been discontinued over a year. The price at the time of my inquiry was $29 a bottle. I was told they had four bottles in stock and provided a link to purchase as I planned on purchasing what they had left. I clicked on the link only to find they increased the price to $50 a bottle not even 24 hours after my inquiry. I was told the product had been on back order for a while and the latest stock they received was increased by the manufacturer. Again, the product was discontinued over a year ago and the latest stock is what was already sitting on their shelf. As a longtime customer of Metagenics I know they don’t increase the price of their products when they are discontinued. They simply sell the stock they have until it’s gone at their normal retail price.
Below is the response I received from Coal Harbour Pharmacy:
“Unfortunately, the cost of the latest stock we received has significantly increased from the manufacturer. As a result, we had to update the pricing on our website to reflect this change. We appreciate your understanding, and if you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.”
Clearly the updated price was a result of me inquiring about a discontinued product I was interested in. Their overnight response of increasing the price per bottle by $20 was a desperate attempt to make an additional $80 profit off the 4 bottles left in stock sitting on their shelf.
Increasing their price after my inquiry was unethical so I’m delighted to let others know of my recent experience with them.
Based on my experience, ask yourself, is this a company you want to invest in and do business with? Judge for yourself however they will never see business from me.

Received a reply, which I appreciated. I received the paperwork/docs as promised from CHP. Unfortunately, someone clearly wasn’t and still isn’t paying attention to detail. They sent me documents for Tran-Q Sleep. There are two separate products. One called Tran-Q which WAS discontinued and Tran-Q Sleep which is a newer product released by Metagenics. They are completely different formulas. The product for sale on Coal Harbour Pharmacy’s website at the time of my writing was for Tran-Q not Tran-Q Sleep. I uploaded images as proof. I see they updated their website image/description very recently so kudos to them. I took the time to send them detailed Supplement Facts to spell it out for them and clear up their confusion.
Still haven’t changed my mind and encourage everyone to use caution if you fill any script or purchase supplements from them. Their attention to detail is concerning. Cheers

I was running out of a certain supplement, and the supplier recommended by my TCM doctor wasn't available at the Montreal store recommended by my TCM doctor. I was able to find the stock at Coal Harbour Pharmacy. After visiting them, I discovered that they have a very large selection of supplements and I have been purchasing from their online store ever since. Their staff is friendly and helpful. I have a vague memory of being offered a loyalty customer number, but I have no idea what I did with that information. They must cater to doctors that practice alternative medicine because they have more serious supplements than Body Energy Club. I recommend this place.

We spent hours tracking down a specific medication. No other pharmacy had it or were willing to locate for us. Coal harbour compounding pharmacy had it and set up us quickly and with a very friendly attitude. Highly recommend

I received expired medication, which is not only unacceptable but also a serious health risk. The staff's response was unhelpful and indifferent, showing a lack of concern for customer safety. I urge caution when considering this pharmacy until they improve their standards and prioritize patient well-being.

Totally impressive amount of high-quality supplements crammed into a tiny little pharmacy! The pharmacist Viktor was super affable and knowledgeable, and helped me navigate the supplements. The place was charmingly eccentric - a hidden gem! Highly recommend!
