I don't normally review gas stations as there is usually nothing out of the ordinary, but this station has done me wrong. After reading other reviews of people claiming the attendees gaslit them, I too want to tell my story of being gaslit here.It all started back in November 2023 when I randomly stopped in here to get gas and cash in a couple scratch tickets that had been laying around. When I brought the tickets in to be checked, there were some winners for cash and two winners for free tickets. The cashier gave me cash for the winning ticket and then proceeded to tell me they had no more tickets and could not provide me the prizes. She then handed me back two winning tickets and the validation receipts and I took them. At this point in time, I didn't know how the system worked and based on her behaviour and phrasing, I took them and left. I assumed I could cash them in at another store to get my tickets elsewhere.A day or two later, I went to a store in my own neighbourhood, where the worker told me the tickets were already validated and he could not give me the prize. He then explained all the rules saying that the cashier should have given me cash if there were no tickets. He also helped me call BCLC to report the incident. A case was started where they said they'd call the manager and the store would call me. The store never contacted me or followed up.During this time, I moved, my father-in-law passed away, the busy holidays happened, I travelled home and I had made no effort to return to this location to reconcile the situation over $8 of scratch tickets. Then yesterday, I returned finally. I was hesitant as I know it had been quite some time, but I also knew that those prizes were rightfully mine and if I didn't claim them, the store would pocket the money for themselves. No one had given me any deadline for claiming the prizes, so why not try.I entered the store with both tickets and validation receipts and explained the situation to the initial clerk. She then called over another female worker who was older. She was immediately giving negative vibes and tones. She was gaslighting me and trying to put words in my mouth about how its been months and why did I wait so long? She tried to confuse my words and manipulate what I said. I stood my ground while she called someone who I assume was the manager where she proceeded to speak in Hindi so I wouldn't know what was happening. And FYI, I don't appreciate being called "some white girl" while you roll your eyes. Who knows what else you called me during that call...Please remember that I have yet to do anything wrong in this situation. Somewhere in their conversation it appeared she was allowed to give me the prizes, great! But then with so much attitude, told me she could only give me one and not the other. She said the other ticket was not correct and couldn't refund it. I realize now that no one looked closely at the ticket numbers, I was tired of defending myself and was not 100% sure it was the correct ticket after all this time, so I said ok to taking one ticket. She then rudely told me to go and she didn't want to deal with this anymore.When I got home, I reviewed the ticket I had brought to the station to check if it was correct or not, and realized it was the right one all along. Upon realizing this, I decided I could either go back and be belittled again, or I could follow up on the original case with BCLC - so I chose the latter. I called BCLC and explained everything.During this entire interaction, I was nothing but respectful and never once used a rude tone or belittled them like they did to me. Another woman in the store confirmed with me afterwards that I had been reasonable and the clerk was rude.I'm not sure what will happen from here, but I know I am going to avoid entering this gas station for many years due to this situation and I am really hoping this can be rectified without me having to go back into the store.

Employee made an error in my transaction and instead of just accepting the misunderstanding, tried to gaslight me into thinking I was wrong, normally I would accept that I could have made a mistake, but I vividly remember the entire conversation and knew I made no error in my request. I also never got any points for the new transaction because the employee cancelled it and made a new one without bothering to put the points in even though I asked.
