Yes, I read that this guy was ‘like a polite grandfather.Ummmm, no, maybe years ago. This guy couldn’t even be bothered to say hi to me after he buzzed me in. He needs to retire and listen to the comments he makes himself to become a better human. Total Grinch! Go some where else unless absolutely necessary, then be matter of fact and get out quickly.

I have always had a good experience, except yesterday. The man that served me was rude, dismissive and condescending.
He definitely needs a few pointers on customer care and respect.

I came in today at 5:10pm, March 15, 2024. The guy here gave me 65% melt value for my coins. Wish I had gone to J&M instead where they give you 90%. I could really use the money right now so I'm using this review to warn others. It doesn't feel good to get ripped off. I shouldn't have trusted them.
Edit: No, I am not mistaken at all. I received $13 for a sterling silver Newfoundland 50 cent coin and 0.50FV in 80% silver Canadian coins

We visited the store for the first time today. What a great store and such great people working there! We felt so welcome and found great treasures at great prices. We will definitely come back again and bring other collectors with us! Highly recommend!

Been going here to buy collectible coins for many years. The two men that run the store are very knowledgeable & friendly. Maybe a little like the odd couple. I always have fun talking with them. They know just about everything that there is to know about coins. They happily answer my silly questions. The store seems to have all the bases covered . They have very rare and expensive coins all the way down to current circulation coins you aren't able to find in your change. Some coins just aren't that valuable. They know which ones they are and give awesome deals to move them. Their prices are considerably lower than eBay .I purchased a black loonie in perfect condition on a coin card for $4. And a hard to find set for a very fair price.Love this place.

aha! a coin shop! very polite and i am very pleased with my purchases of paper bills. they dont rip you off! some bills cost 50 cents and a sumdged error note costs only 80! i dont know what i would do without chantau coins and stamps (ebay is VERY expensive)
