This place is absolutely irresponsible. They easily consign your products, then do whatever they want with them. Sell them for dirt in the end, and there is not even the courtesy of a phone call to give updates. I received nothing for the furniture I gave them, and when I complained they dismissed me. I was explaining this story to someone recently and she told me the same thing happened to her, at the same place, with her table. You're better to give it away then leave it with these shysters.

Very poor communication when dealing with them, it was like talking to a stump. Furniture i purchased was described "Like new" however the foul smell said otherwise.Do not reccomend!

The owner is a nasty piece of work and misrepresents what she sells. I will never shop there again.

Great Store! Love the shopping experience. The Carriage House was recommended by friends who used them to sell estate pieces for a family member. I ended up purchasing chairs and consigning the ones I had. Thank you Carriage house staff! JFS

This company is terrible at responding to emails. My wife was trying to consign some high end furniture with them. They initially responded after a few days, and then nothing since. If you don't want the business, then just say so...

I recently purchased a sofa at the store and the service from the staff (especially Brian) was very accommodating and professional. I look forward to returning again to the store in future !! Sincerely Patty R.

Unhappy to see they market a product I went to view as 'authentic'. It didn't look authentic to me. A poor quality copy at a very high price. Disappointed!

While The Carriage House may be a great place to find interesting pieces, I would NOT recommend it as a place to consign your treasures. There were numerous problems associated with my list of inventory items including:• Items were repeatedly omitted from ‘updated’ inventory lists.• Items appeared twice on the list with different lot numbers and different assigned prices.• Lot numbers changed over time.• The staff’s evaluations of pictures and measurements of items prior to delivery to the store were four times more than the later assigned price without any explanation given.• After more than 90 days and several attempts to update the inventory list, one item still hadn’t been assigned a price.• Repair charges that were related to another client’s items were charged to my account. Staff conceded this error but those charges were only later removed from my account after a request was made.• Inconsistent messages were given regarding the number of items that had been sold. After a few contract extensions and six months of limited sales, I had my unsold items picked up and returned to me. At that point, I noticed that:• Two antique china cups and saucers of a complete matching dinner set were not returned but instead were replaced with two cups and saucers of a different style and one of those cups was cracked.• Another unsold item still had a price tag of $475 on it and yet according to the inventory list, the sale of that item would have given me only $60.• An extra $103 repair fee was charged on our final payout cheque without any advance warning.• The final payout cheque neglected paying me for an item that had already been sold.

Stumbled across this shop while wandering Vancouver. They have a fair amount of beautiful furniture, rugs, lighting, decor and some beautiful jewellery. I met the most lovely store clerk (gentleman) and we had a BLAST with an amazing necklace that I couldn't get over.....it came home with me. He and his female colleague were very nice and we had alot of fun together during my purchase. Its worth a wander into, many items with many price ranges so something for everyone.
