“I moved to the area just over a year ago, and this has been my primary bookstore since. The staff are wildly helpful, and always have awesome recco's. Unfortunately, I never end up "just browsing," because they always have 10/10 inventory - and if they don't you can order!”

“I love the variety and selection at this bookstore. Truly unique finds and you can certainly feel all the care put into curating it. The books they have make me feel happy and hopeful, they represent the beauty of our diverse world. The staff are really sweet and my entire day was made when the loveliest person at the checkout complimented my book choices :’) Can’t wait to go back again soon!”

“With gift giving season near skip Indigo and head to this small but easy to get to book store one block west of Cambie St Skytrain station. They have an up to date new book section, plus for those that love mysteries a large section. Great cards for all occasions to go along with that gift book. Also they do a ten book purchase card, concept similar to coffee shop ones. Plenty of helpful staff with smiling faces.”

“Bought the "History of the Old Testament" (Schedl) from them recently. I do not think I have seen better packaging and delivery. They wrote me a personal note. The books were wrapped and stamped, the box was packaged excellently to prevent damage during transport. If I ever get a chance to visit Vancouver, I'm stopping at this bookstore.
Thank you for providing the Truth to countless people, and doing it with excellence. By His grace and for His glory.”

“My wife and I recently visited Commercial Drive and found this hidden gem of bookstore. And being an established author and member of The Writers Union of Canada, I known books. The store holds a voluminous selection of everything, in particular Canadiana. I found The Mountain Shadow by Gregory David Roberts, sequel to Shantaram. The staff was cheery and delightful. I highly recommend taking an hour to peruse the stores offerings and enjoy the vibe. (The last photo is me.)”

“Great selection of books and decorations for a good price. I loved strolling around looking at everything. Also their clothes were a reasonable price, would have bought some, but they I didn’t like the colors available for the pants I wanted. I give only 4 stars though as the girl at the cashier was absolutely unfriendly, it felt like she thought she was something better than I am, really weird vibe. I would still go there again though and hope for a friendlier cashier next time.”

“I visited this store for the first time today and brought my 4-year old with me. After perusing the online shop and seeing the amazing selection of sensory tools they offered, I knew we needed to check it out. My son got to explore the different sensory toys and I was able to see what interested/helped him the most. He became dysregulated towards the end of our visit and started running around the store. One of the wonderful employees came to talk to him and very kindly asked him to walk instead of run to make sure everyone stayed safe. Although I felt stressed about trying to manage his dysregulated behaviour, I certainly did not feel judged or shamed. In other stores, I often get the feeling that my parenting skills are being questioned when my son experiences dysregulation, but Odin is such a supportive, inclusive environment which I truly appreciate. We will 100% shop here again.”

“John and his wife provide a much needed service to the Kerrisdale neighbourhood in proving a full service magazine and newspaper shop together with lottery and some snacks...seven days a week!! I cannot recall a day that they have not been open. They are totally dedicated to their many long term customers. It's wonderful to have such a commitment to the community.”

“I've been here many times to buy books. The owner is very friendly and knowledge about the products that she carries. Definitely recommend this place for parents and students!”

“A wonderful collection of books, found exactly what I was looking for. I did not however linger as I was hoping to (Sunday afternoon. ) The music screaming from the computer was far from pleasant and not at all in keeping with what I would consider the calm of a book store. Music chosen solely for the enjoyment of the one employee.”

“This is a very unique bookstore store. I deeply appreciate the commitment of the owner and staff to keeping books as treasures of knowledge and wisdom, not mere commodities. True, it's a bit overwhelming in there, but it's rather well organized. I come here when I need to read deeply about a topic - not just stuff from the current New York Times bestsellers list. The owner's suggestions and stories never fail to improve my grasp of whatever topic I am looking into, and the staff members are also committed to helping customers find what they need. Thank you.”

“They have fast service, decently-priced merchandise, and quality textbooks!I'd recommend ordering online and either having the package shipped to your house or picked up at the bookstore because the lineups in the first week(s) of class can be quite long. However, if you want to shop in-store, it would be best to go as early as possible (just as they open up) or a bit later in the afternoon.”

“Looking at the name, I thought it was a bookstore, but when I went in, I saw that it was not just a "bookstore", it had a variety of UBC products! Some people say it is a UBC luxury store. There are candies, clothes, cups, stationery and various products with the UBC logo. Of course there are all kinds of books.”
